21.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day! . Our Colombia Excelso is sourced from Café Mujeres, an association of women coffee producers. One of the ways to take care of their families and improve their quality of life is producing coffee in one of the most productive regions in the country . The association started in November of 2008 with 38 women from different towns in the department of Tolima, Colombia. The coffee crops are planted in altitudes from 1500 to 2030 meters abov...e sea level and with time and education, the producers have improved the quality of coffee through innovative processing and outstanding cup profiles . These women have the support of their families and spouses who are the ones who encourage them daily to undertake the constant juggle to fulfill their objectives and goals . 01.01.2022 Many people consider drinking a dark roasted coffee to get the benefit of more caffeine. This however is a myth . Caffeine is extremely stable during the roasting process and roasting coffee darker (therefore risking making it taste bitter) has no benefit . In fact, beans that are roasted longer are less dense due to water loss. So lighter roasted coffee will have slightly more caffeine since light roasted beans are denser than a darker roast ... .
