08.01.2022 Changes to deer hunting regulations The NSW Government has recently announced a number of changes to deer hunting regulation. Certain conditions which had prevented activities such as hunting at night or the use of spotlights, electronic devices, aircraft or motor vehicles have been lifted. The ‘open season’ conditions which had governed when certain species could be hunted have also been suspended. Some of the areas worst affected by deer were already exempt from these rules..., including Glen Innes Severn, however this announcement represents a state-wide lift. Note that these changes only relate to hunting on private lands and Game licencing requirements are still in place.
