21.01.2022 My lovely wife has written a short story about this project... from the perspective of our garage. You can read it here: http://www.paulperry.com.au/theartistsgarage.html

19.01.2022 Something for Bundaberg streets? Or does our Council already deal well with our potholes?

19.01.2022 Last 4 panels of Stage 2 completed and ready for grouting on Monday. Wonderful contribution from a wide range of volunteers. Thanks to all. Installation date confirmed to commence on 23 November. Launch party 4.30pm on Saturday 5 December 2020. 17.01.2022 Interesting mosaic(?) I discovered at The d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale. Titled Blue Christ. All made of opal pieces. Hefty price on it, too! Nice if you can get it.

16.01.2022 Lots of mosaic ideas here!!

14.01.2022 Had a great Snip and Sip session yesterday afternoon with lots of enthusiastic participants. Some showed hidden talent! I was so busy I forgot to take any photos so here’s a couple of shots of the aftermath when everyone had left! Great work everyone! @CrossroadArtsInc @Arts Queensland @BundabergRegional Council... #crossroadarts #artsqld See more

14.01.2022 The Kepnock High section and part of the Gidarjil section tidied up and ready for grouting on Monday.

13.01.2022 Amazing discovery! Shows the longevity of mosaics.

13.01.2022 Great to have the Gidarjil panel complete and ready to merge into the Welcome wall. Well done to everyone involved. I bet no one thought it would turn out this good!

12.01.2022 Working on the final panel of the Welcome wall - based on a beautiful painting by Dylan Sara. Just need to put all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together, tidy them up, complete the linking ribbon and then grout. Maybe another 4 weeks and we’ll be ready for the final spit and polish, sealing, photography and documentation. Then it’ll be over to Council for installation.

10.01.2022 Another productive afternoon session at Gidarjil. 2 more weeks and we’ll be done.

10.01.2022 Penultimate session at Gidarjil today. Coming together nicely. Will finish this section next Friday.

10.01.2022 A few more public mosaicing ideas. https://www.facebook.com//Mosa/permalink/1719470724870509/

08.01.2022 Great final Snip and Sip session on Friday evening! Can see Stage 2 being finished later this week. 07.01.2022 Honoured to have won the People’s Choice Award for a mosaic piece. Thanks to everyone who voted for my work. Nice to put Bargara and Bundaberg on the Qld art nap in a different way.

07.01.2022 Now this is taking mosaics to the next level. Bring it on!

06.01.2022 Thanks so much Grant Davis for your drone work and putting together this video for me. It really shows off the MilBi Magic project in its context. https://youtu.be/YqfsR5wWjMs

06.01.2022 I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to present to the Arts on Top Regional Arts Forum later this month on our mosaic project at Archie's Beach. The presentation is titled: Building connections with communities through art (despite COVID): The MilBi Magic community mosaics project at Bargara. It will be a challenge to fit the story of 2 years work into 10 minutes but I'll do my best!

05.01.2022 More progress at our Gidarjil session today. Pretty sure we’ll get it finished by our mid-September target date. Thank you all.

05.01.2022 Also good to have the panel from Kepnock High finished and ready to merge into the Welcome wall. Well done class and teacher, Jessica O’Neill!

04.01.2022 As we received some grant funding for the project from a number of sources these grants now need to be acquitted. This requires an evaluation of the project to identify its successes and learnings for future funded projects. We'd appreciate you completing this survey as part of the evaluation process. Please click on this link to take you to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7F2KP7L Responses to the survey will close on 12 December 2020.... Your response will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality, with only combined/summary results reported in the grant acquittal documents. Occasional comments may be quoted, but without identifying the respondents. Please be open and honest with your feedback as this will help us with planning future projects.

26.11.2021 Now that’s what I call well made!

16.11.2021 Thank you Bundaberg Today for your ongoing support of local art and artists.

04.11.2021 You may have noticed a change in name and logo for this Facebook page. This reflects a new business name and my decision to look beyond the MilBi Magic Community Mosaics at Archies Beach as the focus of this page. In the future I will be using it to share information on the other mosaic projects I am involved in or facilitating. The name Milpi reflects the story of my mosaics - Mil... a thousand, pi... pieces, together making magic mosaics. I hope you will continue following and liking my posts.

15.10.2021 Thank you Cma2art for showcasing my work.
