23.01.2022 Charlton Harness Racing Club are currently fundraising to purchase a horse walker for the local training centre. 21.01.2022 Race 3 - Vale Adrian Pettit Pace 12.52pm As a further special tribute to local steward and former trainer Adrian Pettit, who sadly lost his battle with illness on Wednesday morning, Danny Weinert will be wearing Adrian’s colours on horse number 1. 14.01.2022 STALL ALLOCATIONS - NOTICE FOR TRAINERS ATTENDING OUR TUESDAY 3RD NOVEMBER MEETING Due to our large twelve race meeting this week, our stalls will be filled to capacity including a number of double ups during the course of the meeting. We CANNOT accommodate any horses who arrive at the track that are not engaged to race. ... We ask that you use only the stalls you are allocated on the stalls directory and DO NOT change stalls on arrival or during the course of the night. A reminder that trainers and drivers are to leave the race meeting as soon as possible upon fulfilling their obligations in accordance with the Australian Harness Racing Rules (after completion of swabbing procedures, attendance before stewards etc). Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

10.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TONIGHT'S MEETING * Meeting is closed to the Public * All persons entering the racetrack (only licensed participants with a horse engaged can attend race and trial meetings) must wear a properly fitted face mask at all times whether indoors or outdoors unless you have a government permitted exemption (i.e. medical condition)... *QR Code has been implemented for use at all racetracks and trial venues, and all licensed participants and essential staff must use this code. This gives HRV immediate data should it be required for any contract tracing requirements Temperature testing has recommenced at all racetracks from 28th May * Drivers are to limit the time spent in the drivers’ room and all enclosed and indoor areas as much as possible *All persons are reminded to exercise appropriate physical distancing protocols and to maintain 1.5-metre distancing wherever possible *Trainers, drivers and stablehands are to leave the race meeting as soon as possible upon fulfilling their obligations in accordance with the Australian Harness Racing Rules (i.e. after completion of swabbing procedures, attendance before stewards etc) *Participants should pre-pack enough food and supplies for the duration of their engagement at race meetings (Mildura Bistro is open for participants for Take Away meals) *There will no longer be restrictions in existence regarding the number of stable-hands permitted to attend race tracks with accompanied licensed trainers. Stewards and officials will continue to monitor this situation at racetracks *All other industry protocols remain in effect and any non-compliance may be subject to action by the HRV Stewards All persons are advised that should they fail to comply with these requirements, significant penalties including periods of disqualification, may be imposed under AHRR 238 AHRR 238 states: A person shall not fail to comply with any order, direction or requirement of the Controlling Body or the Stewards relating to harness racing or to the harness racing industry

09.01.2022 It was a massive milestone day for Luke Watson yesterday, picking up his 500th career driving win. Luke’s 500th win came in Race 9 Tankard Dental Pace with a great drive on the Kylie Bevington trained Waratah Beach, then capping off the day with a treble & win #501 with a ripping drive on Caulonia Terror in the last race of the day. Congratulations Luke Watson



09.01.2022 VALE ADRIAN PETTIT It has been an incredibly sad day for Mildura Harness Racing Club and for harness racing in the northern region with the devastating news local steward Adrian Pettit had passed away this morning, after a battle with illness. Adrian was an absolute gentleman, who had a true love of our great sport and it has been nothing short of a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with Adrian at Mildura. ... As a tribute to Adrian, Race 3 at our Mildura meeting on Friday has been named the Vale Adrian Pettit Pace and all drivers and staff at the Mildura track will be wearing black arm bands as a mark of respect. The entire team at Mildura Harness Racing Club extend their sympathies to Adrian's wife Sharon Pettit and the entire family at this sad time.
