05.01.2022 Hello everyone As you may have heard, our Mildura LGA lockdown has been extended for another 7 days. Therefore, the same directive that applied this week, will continue into next week. Here are the details you need to know: Victoria’s Chief Health Officer declared yesterday that Mildura Rural City Council will enter a seven-day lockdown commencing at 11:59pm, 8 October 2021. ... This means Mildura Rural City Council will have the same restrictions as those in metropolitan Melbourne. This will mean that our Kindergarten will remain CLOSED EXCEPT TO CHILDREN: * in a two parent/carer family or a one parent/carer family where one parent is an authorised worker (working on site or from home) and there is no appropriate alternative care available in the home. If there is another adult in the household, authorised workers can still access onsite childcare or kindergarten if the other adult is not able to supervise the child/ren (including due to work or personal circumstances such as illness or disability). A PARENT OR CARER MUST DEMONSTRATE THEIR ELIGIBILITY BY PRODUCING A VALID AUTHORISED WORKER PERMIT. * of a single parent/carer who is working regardless of whether they are an authorised worker, if they cannot be supervised at home. * who are vulnerable and/or have a disability. Please note: Permits will need to be presented to staff to verify your child’s attendance. Masks MUST be worn at drop off/pick up at the Kinder gate. We appreciate that the limitations on who can attend Kinder may be inconvenient for families and that children may be disappointed that they are unable to attend. However we must follow the Department directives and also ensure the health and safety of our Kinder community and our staff. Especially as we now have a growing number of local cases. MOST IMPORTANTLY IF YOUR CHILD IS ELUGIBLE TO ATTEND MAKE SURE THEIR 100% WELL. Thankyou for your understanding See more

09.09.2021 READING TOGETHER WITH KIDS Why? - It’s a strong start for learning at school. - It builds speaking, listening and understanding skills.... - It helps attention span and interest in quieter activities. - It teaches how books work and how fun they can be. - It creates a special time together. When? - There is no specific age. - Some parents start with kids as young as six months old. - Even young children enjoy being held, hearing your voice and sharing pictures. http://www.letsread.com.au//LR-reading-with-young-children https://raisingchildren.net.au//Play-ideas-for-toddler-tal

22.08.2021 Here we go again.. Lock down 6. We will be open as usual but under strict Covid safe guidelines. PLEASE remember to wear a mask at drop off and pick up times. It is so important to keep your child home if they are mildly unwell. The positive about this is that if your child is attending, they will only be playing with other well children!! Let's all work together...
