24.01.2022 Important Note Now on serious note thank you to those who have been abiding by our current COVID 19 restrictions in the club rooms and around the greens, it is not the time to become complacent as we are all aware the numbers just keep increasing and luckily at the moment our region is clear of cases so it important to maintain correct numbers in the club rooms, maintain social distancing, and continue placing your name on the roll up sheets please, should you see any breaches please tell your mates to do the right thing so we may continuing do what we all love a game of bowls.

23.01.2022 Covid- 19 Thursday night Troop. When restriction were lifted and we could resume play The Worker Bowls Club took full advantage. Playing on Thursday Night with 4 a side in a new and exciting point games... Prize for Jack resting. Prize to the winner of the night. 3 Points for the team that wins, accumulating till end of set rounds Other winning teams get 2 points. There were bowlers from other clubs who entered teams and joy in and made the game a great success, so much so the Club will start again in early Feb, date to be announced late in January, hopefully this will encourage other members to build their teams and enter. BBQ before the start of the game, raffles and of course the bar. The end of the round came with all dressing in Christmas apparel with everybody getting a little gift. 19.01.2022 Day 1 of the Workers Bowls Club Bonanza The Tapper Bishop Triples ( 2 bowls) Sponsors by the Bishop Brothers ... Peter Bishop gave a rundown on why the game has been giving the name (Tapper) and he and his brother did the presentation to the winners. Some very exciting games played in what started of as a cool morning and turned into the ideal day for bowl. Members from other clubs in the Sunraysia District participated with some success. 19.01.2022 Finals of the Club Championship Mick Rhoden and Dawn Jackson defeated Ken and Glenys Yeowart in the club Finals on Thursday 9th July 2020. Both teams are to congratulated on reaching the finals ... IMPORTANT MESSAGE Currently we are in worrying times and it has been decided that only Club Members and Partners and Members of Bowls Sunraysia Division will be permitted to enter our club rooms, practice and play social bowls. We also ask anyone returning to Mildura has a COVID 19 test and provide proof of negative result before they participate in any activities at our club. These steps have been decided upon to ensure our members safety during this COVID 19. Thank you for your support and understanding

18.01.2022 Wednesday 5th August Club finals All rounds played on the Sunday, only left 2 teams to play of Monday morning for a spot in the finals. ... Wednesday night was decided by the finalists, before Stage 3 restrictions come into force at midnight . The night air crept in early, lights turned on. Teams in the finals were Ken Hayes (S) Ron Boyd (2) Barry Ryland (L) Nobby Kerslake (S) Neville Mitchell (2) Dianne Smith (L) The game was very close all ends only having a point or 2 apart for the entire game. On the last end 1 shot was needed to win by either team as scores were level on the final end. Ken Hayes drawing the final shot to put his team ahead by 1 shot . Congratulation to the winner for a very enjoyable battle.

17.01.2022 Wednesday 22nd July Social Bowls Great numbers again today considering the cool weather Overcast and cold for the 1st round of the games and then the sun showed up for the second round. Again some great games played by bowls.... 16.01.2022 Social Bowls for 30th December 2020 We finished the year with a great morning of bowling. Visitors from other clubs Nangiloc, Red Cliffs, Merbien and Mildura. There were games of triples and pairs, which made the morning interesting.... Winner on the day Sam Pupillo, Win Easterbrook and Dennis Berry. Best second game won by two teams, each having the same amount of points and the same shots up, so the pairs team Brian Kolpin and Arthur Hunter shared the win with the Triples Team. Mick Rhoden, Jude Vigar and Chris Maddigan. A nice way to end the year from hell. As you all know by now One of our own is in Hospital in Melbourne so Peter Bishop started a fun raise on the day and with wonderful members and guest manage to raise $500.00 in the Morning. Other members soon heard about the fund to help and have been given the information to contact Peter Bishop May I wish you all a golden year of health and great bowls. Looking forward to see you all in the new Year.

Entry form are also up for the Ladies Club Singles Championship, please get your names entered. Entry forms the Men's Club Singles Championship and Men's "B" Grade Singles are on the A green notice board entries close 25 Sep 20, so get your names entered.

12.01.2022 Semi Final of the Mixed Pairs played last Thursday 2nd July and congratulations going to Ken and Glenys Yeowart just getting on top of Harvey and Daphne Loveday. The Final will be played on Thursday 9 July Ken and Glenys Yeowart up against Mick Rhoden and Dawn Jackson. Results will be provided when known, we wish you all good bowling. Just a reminder that annual subscriptions for all types of membership are now due, they can be paid to the Treasurer on either Saturdays or W...ednesdays at social bowls. A tentative date has been set for the Final of the Men’s B Grade Singles between Peter Bishop and Doug Edwards on Sunday 12 July, time will be advised. We wish you both good bowling. 10.01.2022 Social Wednesday 16th January A warm morning started with some members cancelling, due to the expected heat in the high 30, however the game continued, with 4 rinks being used, playing pairs. Wednesday 25th seen the return of players to the green’s Not having to wear masks has seen our bowlers return to the greens. Wearing masks inside the club house is still required.... Exciting games were play and all teams agree it was a very success day.... The competition between teams on all green was great to watch. Winners: Owen Giddings, Alan. Erskine, Jamie Forte and Nobby Kerslake played on B green R/U Geoff Peters, Michael Clifford, Trevor Clarke and Joel Peters played on A green Third Marty Connors, Geoff Castleman, Dawn Jackson, Sam Pupillo also played on B green Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to the teams who made the effort to play from other Sunraysia clubs Day 4 Final day of Bonanza A/C Medley Pairs Overcast conditions, strong winds at times made for a cold start to the day. Conditions turned in the afternoon to sun and lighter wind Although numbers were down in the pairs , we still had 6 greens used.
