25.01.2022 The Sunraysia Early Years Directory is back!! Although we can no longer produce a printed version members of our local community have worked hard to bring us this interactive online version. Follow this link to view all the Early Years Services in our region https://embed.kumu.io/e582707045400b61ce7c77a8018246ff and don't forget to save it to your favourites bar.... Zoom in to see the map easier and then click on a service and all their details will pop up. The benefit of having an online version is it can be updated regularly so if your service is not in the map or has incorrect details email [email protected] to update.

06.01.2022 With Christmas only a couple of sleeps away, Santa has been making his list and checking it twice! No doubt you've been making your list too.....food, pressies,... camping gear.....but do you have Child Restraints on your list? Don't feel bad, many people forget. Here are some quick reminders to help keep your little people as safe as possible in the car before heading off to see loved ones over the festive season. Is the top tether attached to the anchor point? Flat, no twists, slack removed? Seatbelt OR ISOfix connected to the buckle? Seatbelt through correct path with no slack OR ISOfix showing green indicators? Remember only ever seatbelt OR ISOfix, never both, but ALWAYS top tether Is your child within the shoulder height marker range for the seat? Are straps flat against their body with no twists, at the right height and pass the pinch test? Are your children dressed appropriately for the car ride? Straps on bare skin can cause painful friction burn Toys are a good distraction in the car, especially on long trips but do you know they can be a hazard? Never attach toys (or other after market products) to your child restraint and ensure toys in the car are nice and soft so they don't become dangerous objects if you break suddenly Confused or stuck with how to fix something? I'm only a phone call or message away! Merry Christmas

05.01.2022 Another fun Children's Week Activity .... a virtual Treasure Hunt!! Winners will be announced during The Beanies performance on the 29th of October.

04.01.2022 HEALTH ADVISORY Residents and visitors to north-west Victoria are being warned to protect themselves against mosquito-borne diseases such as Ross River viru...s and Barmah Forest virus. Ross River virus has been detected in mosquitoes in urban Mildura. These viruses can cause symptoms including joint pain and stiffness, headache, fever, rash and fatigue. The best protection from these diseases is to avoid mosquito bites - protective measures include regularly using mosquito repellent on all exposed skin, wearing long, loose fitting clothing when outside, and ensuring accommodation, including tents, are properly fitted with mosquito netting or screens. A range of information relating to protecting against mosquito bites is available on the Beat the Bite campaign page on the Better Health Channel.
