22.01.2022 Day 6.......and the public holiday sees us continuing with our new combined vocal section. Today’s photos are of the adjudicators that were to be the first to s...hare adjudicating our new vocal section. Carole McKenzie and Annika Tregonning are both highly qualified and respected adjudicators and hopefully we will get to work with them in the future.

19.01.2022 Day 14.......and a much deserved rest day! Today we would like to take a moment to thank all our wonderful volunteers........without them we simply could not run the Eisteddfod.

18.01.2022 Day 9 and we move into our second day of Instrumental. Today’s photo is again from 2014......Caitlin MacGregor who won the Judith Bridley Memorial Award.

16.01.2022 Day 18.....and today would have been all about Jazz and Contemporary. We would have seen dance schools from Broken Hill, Swan Hill, Renmark, Loxton and Adelaid...e join us.....and tonight would have seen all the senior students compete in the Open Jazz section. With only one day to go Saturday is always a packed schedule with backstage full of excited students, teachers and costumes!

13.01.2022 Day 12......and what better way to spend a Sunday then listening to some very talented Pianoforte competitors. With only one day left of Pianoforte we had scheduled a very full day. Todays photo is of Naomi Hender..the 2012 Mildura Resort Pianoforte Scholarship.

13.01.2022 Day 16.......and today would have been our last day of school dance. School dance is always an amazing time......a full house of excited students and proud parents! Please feel free to post any school dance photos you might have in the comments

13.01.2022 Day 17......and tonight we would have been treated to a night of beautiful classical ballet culminating in The Sunraysia Ballet Award. The Award sees competitor...s dancing both a Demi-Character and Classical Ballet piece and is always performed in front of a sell out crowd. Our photos today show four past Sunraysia Ballet Award winners. 2011 Hannah Michael 2012 Emma Spencely 2015 Gabriella Millen 2016 Amy Cottrell

11.01.2022 Day 8 and with Speech & Drama and Vocals finished we start on Instrumental. Our photo of the day is from 2014......The Soebardi Six String Surfers and their teacher Iwan Soebardi.

10.01.2022 Day 11.......and we would have started Pianoforte. One of the amazing parts of the eisteddfod is the masterclasses that our highly experienced adjudicators offe...r for free. Here students learn everything from technique to stage craft. In today’s photo from 2016 we see adjudicator Judith Lambden offering advice to pianoforte students.

10.01.2022 Day 10 and we would have been in for a fantastic Friday of entertainment as our Instrumental section comes to a close. Today’s photo of Lachlan Purdue is from 2018 when he won the Len Krause Perpetual Award for the Most Promising Solo Brass Instrumentalist.

06.01.2022 Day 19........and today would have seen us enjoying The Community Section. The Community Section was introduced in 2019. It is a non-competitive section for co...mmunity members or groups to sing, dance, play an instrument, recite a poem or ballad, or any other type of performance. We encouraged people who have impaired abilities to enter. We were blown away by the support this section received......from teachers, sponsors and the wider community in general who showed their support by coming out to watch these talented performers. We look forward to seeing this section return in 2021. Our photos today show some of our entrants from 2019.......members of SRS Rhythmic Squad, Ashley Clogg, Livinia Blenheim, and students from Woodbine Special Developmental School (Warracknabeal).

04.01.2022 It would have been day five of the Mildura Eisteddfod and we would have been continuing with the combined vocal sections. Photo of the day is from 2017......all... our Aria contestants and adjudicator Lisa Lockland-Bell. Our last Aria was in 2018......hopefully it will return so we can once again be treated to some amazing vocal talent. See more

02.01.2022 Day 15....and the first day of our dance section. Dance is always a very busy 5 days with so many competitors and costumes! And the dance section just wouldn't be the same without compere Liz Danenberg! If you have a photo of Liz in her red boots please feel free to post

01.01.2022 Day seven.......and this would have been our last day of vocals. So what better photo to share than someone who is instantly recognisable to all our eisteddfod ...supporters. FROM MILDURA TO BERLIN Former local Siobhan Stagg was a regular competitor in the Mildura Eisteddfod from 1999 until 2005 when she won First Prize in the Florence Giddings Aria Award. These days Siobhan is based in Berlin and performs lead roles at major theatres across the UK, USA, Europe and Australia. Siobhan says, "I'll always treasure the experiences and friendships I made through the Mildura Eisteddfod." Siobhan Stagg with pianist Timothy Young in recital at the 2020 Adelaide Festival.
