19.01.2022 Today, the 1st of July welcomes the first day of operation for our friends over at Fire Rescue Victoria as well as the first day of the CFA returning a Volunteer service. We here at Mildura Fire Brigade would like to remind the people of Mildura that while there may be 2 fire services in town we are still the same career and volunteers that were here yesteday under the banner of CFA and moving forward would like continue to work closely with our friends at FRV to provide the best service we can to the Mildura community.

05.01.2022 Wishing CFA Chief Officer Steve Warrington AFSM all the very best for the future following the announcement of his resignation last night. You can find out more... about CO/CEO Warrington’s distinguished and dedicated service over many years in the below statement from the CFA Board Chairperson, Greg Smith. ‘Steve has given more than forty years of dedicated service to CFA and Victorian community. He has served the organisation and the people of Victoria with passion, skill and warmth. Steve began his service as a CFA volunteer at Chelsea brigade in 1978 before joining the staff as a career firefighter in 1983. He continued volunteering alongside his staff role for another 14 years, demonstrating outstanding commitment to both firefighting roles. Steve has been with CFA through Ash Wednesday, the 2009 Victorian Fires and provided strong, expert leadership through the recent 2019/20 fires, minimising the loss of lives and property. Steve was appointed Chief Officer of the CFA in 2016 also accepted the concurrent role of CEO in 2019. He was awarded the Australian Fire Service Medal in 2017.’ Good luck Chief, and thank you very much for your service.

03.01.2022 As of July 1 2020, the Mildura Fire Station will be a dual station with FRV Staff and CFA volunteers. Nothing will change to the service for the Mildura community. You may notice new logos on the appliances, and a slight change in uniform for the FRV staff other than that things will be as normal.
