25.01.2022 Looks like rowing is back on!

25.01.2022 Our media liaison officer is at it again !

24.01.2022 It was all systems go at the rowing club this morning. Two quads, two doubles and three singles. Great to see some action after a very quiet few months. Beautiful weather before the wind blew up.

24.01.2022 ROWERS RETURN TO THE WATER New South Wales’ decision to allow border zone residents enter the state for any reason this morning is welcome news for members of M...ildura Rowing Club, who have been unable to use the Murray River. I got a bit of a shock because I was expecting to have to wait for another week, club captain Russell Cornwall said. I put a message in our club WhatsApp group first thing and got 10 quick replies. They’re all very happy. The club has bought two new boats in the past six months and one of them, a coxless quad, is still in its wrapping. Mr Cornwall said the club planned to develop a COVID-Safe plan so members can row in crews, with further advice expected from Rowing Victoria today. Pictured is club member Phil Stephens, getting out on the water today.

23.01.2022 Long distance winter rowing from 2017. Where to this winter?

23.01.2022 A great night/afternoon for a row in Mildura. Nicely done by Clark, Kim and Russ.

22.01.2022 Learn to row during a high river at the temporary shed. It was actually a really good place to teach beginners!

19.01.2022 Nice to see a few scullers out this afternoon. The wind died down just enough. Great news has come through this evening. We can now row in crews as we have been deemed a non contact sport. See you on the water soon!

17.01.2022 A bit of action on the water this week with our learn to row program. After just three sessions everyone is starting to grasp the art of rowing. We are having a post covid boost, with 15 people lined up for the next program starting in about a weeks time.

17.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all our mothers. Hope you are having a great day! Here is a sample of some of our awesome mums!

17.01.2022 Dear members, while the state government has released some restrictions on Monday our guidance from Rowing Victoria is that single sculling is only allowed at the moment. A further update will be provided next week. If you can’t remember what single sculling is, here is a photo to remind you. #gunssenior

16.01.2022 Busy on the water tonight with our learn to row program. Four quads and some swans enjoying the serenity!

15.01.2022 A short video of this morning's row. Hayley, Ruth, Ben and Karyn. Well done Hayley, first row for three years. No crabs just a few blisters.

15.01.2022 Great shot Phil Stevens! Phil even made it to the ABC national news! Believe it or not, he did have more to say but they cut it out!

14.01.2022 A reminder that the AGM is on this Friday. There will be a maximum of 20 people allowed to attend so the meeting will also be broadcast via Zoom. RSVP for the meeting is essential.

13.01.2022 A few brave rowers went out in the tough conditions last night. 1st quad out in six months. Well done Terre, Ruth,Karyn and Russ. Hope to see a few more 8 am tomorrow.

13.01.2022 AGM Friday 31st July. Looking for new committee members. If you would like to put your hand up please contact the club or send a direct message. Numbers will be limited to 10 people in the clubrooms. The meeting will be hosted on zoom so please email the club to get the link.

13.01.2022 Some wise words from our camera shy president.

13.01.2022 Our latest learn to row crew. Timing looking pretty good. Will it transfer to the water? We had four quads of beginners on the water last night. Great to see!

11.01.2022 Girls heading out for a row on our first hot day for the season. A big welcome to Hannah Olley in 3 seat who has just moved to Mildura. We are always happy to welcome new members!

11.01.2022 FINALLY ! The club got to test run their brand new coxless quad. The boat was ordered before covid 19 and arrived during lockdown.

09.01.2022 Another beautiful morning on the water at Mildura.

08.01.2022 Our first learn to row program kicked off last night with seven participants. We will be holding regular programs over the season if anyone is interested in learning our great sport.

07.01.2022 A beautiful morning on the water. Some of our learners finally got a taste of the smooth water that we are lucky to have quite often in Mildura.

06.01.2022 While the article in tomorrow’s paper shows a great photo of Phil, it does highlight that our ability to access the river is in doubt. This is a ridiculous decision that hopefully will be reversed soon. BTW nice guns Phil!

04.01.2022 The Mildura Rowing Club made history tonight with the AGM convening with limited numbers attending in person and the remaining members videoing in via Zoom. With our outgoing President Nigel Sullivan stepping down, the club welcomes our new President Kevin Tankard. Congratulations Kev and good luck to you and the new committee for the next year ahead! Thank you to all that attended in person and by video.

04.01.2022 And we are back! Some of you might recognise the bloke on the top left showing off the very impressive guns! Nice work Phil Stephens. Kev Tankard looking relaxed as always. Terry Hill and Joe Watson looking like they had a hard workout. Nice morning for a row before rain came in.

03.01.2022 Beautiful sunrise over the George Chaffey bridge this morning and a great morning for a row. Why would you want to be anywhere else!

03.01.2022 Hello Murray, we've missed you!

01.01.2022 A great evening of rowing was had at Mildura on Friday when we got together with our friends at Wentworth Rowing Club for a relaxed mini regatta. Obviously a cox shortage at Mildura! Thank you Wentworth
