A win against GKR has them closing the gap on the other teams as the ladder tightens up after 5 rounds. Natalina Mammone did her part with a 3 love victory over Robert Thompson. 24.01.2022 Round 6 Action Mildura Squash Inc Autumn Pennant 2020 In Division 2 Simmons defeated Dragons to maintain top position on the ladder. It was a close contest between the teams. Rohan Whyte for Simmons and Natalina Mammone for Dragons both had comfortable 3 nil wins for their teams over their opponents. Kane Woolfrey had a tight 3 love win over Grace Sparks and was lucky to win the third when he was well down. 14.01.2022 *ATTENTION: Coronavirus UPDATE 14th May 2020* ALL Mildura Squash Pennant, Programs / Training & Casual Hitting - ON HOLD Dear Member & Squash Community We hope you have all been keeping well physically and mentally during the past weeks as we have had to adjusted to a new world normal in this period of social isolation and distance. ... From Wednesday 13th of May 2020 - 31st May 2020 under Stage 1 of the "Roadmap to a CovidSafe Australia" and State of Victoria guidelines, indoor sporting venues and clubs are still under a Lockdown measure. Mildura Squash will continue to review and monitor the ongoing Coronavirus situation and look to get a further update after the 31st of May 2020 as to our path back to being back on court. In the meantime please continue to look after yourselves as restrictions in other areas of everyday life are eased and monitor your interactions and health as we start to adjust to the freedoms of returning to a "new normal". 13.01.2022 *ATTENTION: Corona-virus UPDATE 29th October 2020* Dear Member & Squash Community, Step 3 Restrictions for Regional Victoria are continuing from 27th of October 2020, so for the time being this means at this stage no change as yet, on our return for squash or in what form that might look like for the rest of 2020. Mildura Squash Committee has made the call, that our Autumn Pennant Seasons for both Division 1 and Division 2 Competitions will be Called Off for 2020. ... We understand and can appreciate this is not the news we would like, however, it is the right decision due a number of factors. The Mildura Squash Committee, will work on a suitable and sustainable process with in the coming weeks as we look to see if restrictions will ease further and allow us back on court hopefully by the end of the year. Once we have a clearer picture we will announce further details. We are still at the discretion of the Mildura City Council and the guidelines they will have for a Covid-Safe return to the Irymple Community Leisure Center and we will have to work with them to get back on court as soon as we can. Stay strong & positive and we are here to continue to support each other. Continued Health & Safety during this time is important: 1. Wear your Face Covering at ALL Times outside of the house. 2. Recommendations and precautions for the Squash community around Australia (subject to local/state conditions that may apply): 1. If your sick or unwell consider if you should stay at home to contain any spread of illness squash can wait a week. 2. Increase the use of hand sanitiser at home or out and about. It would be great if centres/clubs can increase the distribution of sanitiser or wipes. 3. Ensure basic hygiene around washing hands at home or out and about info sheet attached 4. The Legends had a win as Jeannette Vear got the job done against Fill in Hadi Haidry, dropping the 2nd game, Vear recovered to win 3-1. With the health and well being of all junior, senior members, our causal hitters, the extended squash family and the community first and foremost. From 12pm today Monday 23rd of March 2020 for indoor sporting venues and clubs Mildura Squash will be putting all its pennant, senior / junior training programs and causal hitting on hold until at least the 1st of May 2020. Were we will review the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic health situation.
