25.01.2022 Matilda practicing her sleeping positions in preparation for the trip to Ouyen tomorrow. See you there!!

23.01.2022 Matilda getting her worst nightmare- a bath - from her number one fan Dr Soohi this afternoon. This is what happens when you roll around in the horse paddock next door Matilda!

23.01.2022 MVH would like to thank all of our clients for being so patient, trusting and understanding this year as we've been navigating our industry Covid protocols. You have put up with being separated from your pets, a very non-pandemic ready phone system and vets attempting to use the EFTPOS machines. These protocols have allowed us to stay open and safe. However seeing as it's no longer Sicktoria and donuts are aplenty, we are happy to say that soon we'll be bringing ya'll back in! There will still be some rules in place to tick the social distancing boxes and masks are required, but we will post some more info this week as we work the details out. As they're saying in the US right now, cheers cheers get on the beers.

23.01.2022 Ho Ho Houyen!!! We are doing a special Christmas Eve trip to Ouyen tomorrow so come down with your pets or just to say gday! We’ll also have a limited number of dog treat bags available, $10 each money goes straight to the Parvo Project. Great Xmas present for your dog, or your human relative that you really don’t like- just tell them it’s beef jerky! 10:30 onwards, See ya there

21.01.2022 Aww check out this gorgeous boy! Chester is the newest family member of one of our clients, Kylie, and is a new friend for miss Daisy

20.01.2022 This will be staff cat Shadow’s first Christmas. She’s listened to the rundown from the humans around her and has come to the logical conclusion... #thoughtsonchristmas

20.01.2022 Towels needed! Do you have any old towels that are out of work and need rehoming? Do you want an excuse to buy yourself a fresh fun new set of towels but are to...o paralysed with environmentally conscious guilt to do it without a legitimate reason? Well here is your excuse! We are experiencing a towel shortage at MVH so any donations are appreciated! Also a bit short on newspapers now the Sunny Daily isn’t coming in as much. Give us a call or just drop em off at the front door with a note so we can thank you cheerssss See more

19.01.2022 Big day in Ouyen for this little black duck! (This is not an advertisement for seat covers, pun purposes only).

19.01.2022 We are having an issue with staff dog Leila and her propensity for online shopping. She’s progressed from Italian brand names only to whatever pops up in her Insta feed. #thoughtsonchristmas

15.01.2022 Not since George and William Chaffey has Sunraysia seen such a close knit pair of bros courageously exploring their surrounds and appropriating local waterways with reckless abandon. Dynamic duo Ice and Snow are looking for their very own Rio Vista, and would love to be rehomed together if possible. They are ready to roll so if you’re interested get in touch!

15.01.2022 Staff dog and LBD (lead blood donor) Ruby shares her #thoughtsonChristmas.

14.01.2022 Staff cat Boots thought she had bopped the elf enough times last year that he would lose all his magic but to no avail, the demon hath returned. #thoughtsonchristmas

13.01.2022 Lovely morning down in Ouyen getting everyone sorted with their boosters, special thanks to the biscuit makers, newspaper and towel deliverers! Couple of cats to see on the way home and then back to the big smoke...

10.01.2022 Little Torti girl is the last one looking for her home

10.01.2022 MVH has had a rainbow lorikeet handed in. If you have lost yours, please give us a call on 5023-3838.

08.01.2022 We have a couple more ratbags looking for loving homes, apparently the housing market in Mildura is very tight and these two are struggling to find a rental. Mia: Female tabby, 12 weeks-ish, favourite toy computer cords, Disney character she most identifies with is Elsa from Frozen. Fenix: Male ginger ninja, 4-5 months, favourite toy is loose fabric, Disney character he most identifies with is Aladdin. Contact the clinic if you think you’ve got spare room in your heart/ cupboards that are sporadically left open.

08.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums (and mum-like-figures) that are here, and the ones that we miss. A special vet’s Thankyou to mums of one pup, mums of a litter, and those mums who really could’ve eaten their puppies in those early days but refrained. And to all you kids out there, bloody ring your mother if you haven’t this is your reminder!

06.01.2022 Who is Nick and what magic spell has he put on this pen? Dr Alex and nurse Catherine have been coming to Ouyen for the last 5 years and this pen has remained, working and with ink, sitting in the stewards rooms the whole time. I can’t keep the same pen for half a day. WHAT IS HIS SECRET?

05.01.2022 If you’re the owner of a deep-chested dog - German Shepherd, Boxer, Dobermann, Great Dane, to name a few - it is so important to familiarise yourself with the signs of gastric dilation volvulus (GDV). When caught and treated early, the outcome can be a positive one. Thanks for your lovely review, Dawn. We are so glad everything turned out OK

05.01.2022 UPDATE: the two black girls have found homes!!! Our little Torti girl is still looking The three stooges: Betty & Ebony are the two jet black girls. They are both super friendly, cute and also super sassy. They love a good smooch but sometimes only on their terms. It's a cats world remember! They are approximately 9 weeks old and are sisters.... Jackie is our tabby/torti girl who is roughly 8 weeks old. She is super gorgeous and loves a good cuddle! Extremely playful with other kittens and humans. If you have room for one or three of these girls in your home, please get in contact with Rosa at the clinic on 03 5023 3838 or pop in and visit us.

01.01.2022 Business as usual here for the lockdown period as we are an essential service, Matilda would just like everyone to dig out their masks or human cloth muzzles as she calls them from tomorrow please. Stay safe everyone and make sure you’re wearing some SWAT gear if going down the toilet paper aisle. Pictured is Matilda refusing to give up her seat today.

01.01.2022 Jemima hates it when Boots opens the blinds at 6:30am. #thoughtsonchristmas
