25.01.2022 The emotions of a bride or groom can spill over during the ceremony especially during the vows. My delightful couple from Saturday's wedding were a great example. During their rehearsal during the week, the bride cried her way through, which I said was perfectly okay and told her not to stress. But I did suggest that a box of tissues would be a good idea. This was overlooked at the ceremony, so my trusting little packet of tissues from my satchel was pulled out incase of ...an emergency. Well they were needed! The groom, bless his heart only managed the first line of his vows and totally choked up. I slowly got him through with a few words at a time, then asked if he would like a tissue. Yes please he said. I asked the bride if she would like one as well before she started her vows. Oh yes please was the reply. After blowing her nose, she managed to get through her vows around the tears very slowly. I get so much joy from my role as a Marriage Celebrant seeing the emotions revealing such devotion and love. Love my work! #emotionalweddings #emotionalmarriagevows See more

24.01.2022 As a Marriage Celebrant every wedding is special but when the milestone moment is the wedding of your own son it is even more special. Last Monday at a little church at Nar Nar Goon I officiated at the wedding of Jared Pither & Karyn Pither with my 5 gorgeous grandchildren starting of the ceremony and precious daughter Merryn Blampied as bridesmaid. Thank you to Wendy Slater & Bill Slater for giving me such a wonderful new daughter-in-law.

23.01.2022 Celebrating the life of a Balnarring Beach local yesterday was such a privilege to be a part of. When hearing the stories of a couple so close, little gems of intimacy emerge. A special connection and enjoyment they had was looking at clouds and watching their shapes and movement across the sky. For them, without clouds there can be no landscape and landscapes are in the service of clouds. What such an intimate connection with the environment around them they had together. And what such a beautiful landscape at Balnarring Beach to experience it including the seascape. I had to go today and soak the beauty myself and marvel at the service of the clouds with the landscape and seascape. I will always remember him now when watching clouds. So special.

21.01.2022 I so love the delight on couple's faces once they have survived their ceremony. Survive might sound a bit strong but sometimes couples are so nervous, (it seems to be the grooms who are the most nervous) and it is so rewarding in my role as celebrant to be able to calm them down and help them through. So a few more happy couples after their ceremonies.

20.01.2022 Finishing of the year with two weddings since Christmas. Beck's and Dede's two little boys were supposed to carry the two teddies with the precious rings. Working with children doesn't always work as planned, but it didn't matter. The rings arrived safely. And Wattle Park Chalet by Provincial Events in Surrey Hills provided the perfect venue for the wedding of Bernie and Yvonne. Congratulations to both couples. A special time to share.

20.01.2022 Have you chosen your wedding venue and booked a date? Now you need a marriage celebrant, who will listen to your desires and together create your special ceremony. #wedding #weddingceremony #marrigecelebrant

19.01.2022 Officiated a marriage ceremony with an interpreter for the first time for a lovely Chinese couple where the Groom only spoke Mandarin. Another fabulous experience to add to the many from being a marriage celebrant. Thanks to Eric Fang Wan for your valued assistance.

19.01.2022 Giving blood is an awesome gift we can give to save three lives each time. I gave blood today with the help of Joanne at Australian Red Cross Blood Service Pinewood Mt Waverley. I encourage everyone who can to give blood.

19.01.2022 There were no complaints with Melbourne's weather for the weekend weddings. Celebrating with two lovely couples, firstly at York On Lilydale for Kavi & Geoff and then at St Andrews Conservatory for Zowie & Andrew. Both lovely ceremonies with a few tears of emotion. Congratulations everyone. It has been a pleasure to create your special milestone moments.

19.01.2022 A milestone moment for me shared at Sails on the bay Restaurant & Events at Elwood with Louise & David. Congratulations guys and thank you for the opportunity to share your marriage milestone moment.

18.01.2022 Weddings are usually happy milestone moments. But todays wedding had the sadness of the Bride losing her mother during the week. Sometimes plans don't happen the way they had been hoped. But knowing that her mum would want them to enjoy the day they continued on and got through the ceremony well. Congratulations guys and enjoy your celebrations.

17.01.2022 Milestone Moments are not always happy milestones. Yesterday I did my first funeral for the mother of the Bride I married last weekend. Very sad to say goodbye to someone when there is so much love, but the family wanted to also celebrate her life. I had lots of positive comments about the ceremony which were very encouraging.

15.01.2022 Want some ideas for your vows or to write your own, but not sure where to start? Marriage vows are the essence of any wedding ceremony. Whether a couple just say the necessary legal lines or add extra words that they have written or selected from ideas, when these marriage vows come from the heart, the milestone moment in time is captured for the rest of their marriage. When I meet with couples to plan their marriage ceremony, I offer my information pack with many ideas for ...their ceremony, including vows. #marriagevows #marriagevowsideas #weddingceremonyideas See more

15.01.2022 A simple but special backyard marriage ceremony for two delightful guys and their two witnesses. And when they invited me to join them in some bubbly together I said, why not and had such an enjoyable and fun time sharing in the celebration of their milestone moment.

14.01.2022 Wow! What a fabulous idea having fun decorating your own coffin.

14.01.2022 As part of me getting to know this incredible area of Balnarring and the wider Mornington Peninsula for wedding venues, I have found another delightful rustic setting amongst the vines at Barn and Co Winery situated in Myers Road Balnarring. #balnarringweddingvenues #morningtonpeninsulaweddingvenues #balnarringmarriagecelebrant #morningtonpeninsulacelebrant

14.01.2022 With a tropical theme, Serge and Linda with family and friends celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary with a Renewal of Vows with much fun and many laughs. Such an enjoyable ceremony to have been part of.

14.01.2022 Box Cottage at Joyce Park in Ormond was the perfect setting for Anthony and Lisa's wedding on Saturday. And the perfect weather for a winter's day ceremony outside. Along with the "Perfect" song by Ed Sheeran (I don't think I will ever get sick of that song) everything went perfectly. Congratulations Anthony and Lisa. #boxcottagewedding #melbournemarriagecelebrant #perfectwedding #gardenwedding

14.01.2022 I always love a surprise wedding at an engagement party. And today's was Allan & Kelly's day. Congratulations guys.

13.01.2022 Wanting to share the professional wedding photos from Kerryn Lee Photography from back in April of Jared and Karyn's wedding, my son and new daughter-in-law. Such a privilege and very special to marry my own son and lovely daughter-in-law.

12.01.2022 Two gorgeous flower girls started the bridal procession for the wedding ceremony for Eric and Cally at Lady Janet Clarke Rotunda in Linlithgow Ave, Melbourne. The happy couple were celebrating and enjoying the perfect weather last Saturday for their milestone moment. #gardenweddings #melbournecelebrant #simpleceremonies #ladyjanetclarkerotundaweddings

12.01.2022 At the magnificent Oakridge Wines in the Yarra Valley on the weekend, I had the privilege of officiating at Frank and Julie's marriage. Amongst the wine barrels and their family and friends, the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The celebrations were then able to soak up the spectacular views with great food and wine. #yarravalleyweddings #oakridgeweddings #wineryweddings #yarravalleycelebrant

12.01.2022 I love sharing peoples milestone moments and it is lovely when I receive testimonials from happy couples. So I thought I would share one I received today. "Deirdre thank you sooo much for your wonderful experience of marrying myself and Peter. Thank you for all your help and support u gave us and making our day very special even though it was very simple. I cant wait to see everyones faces when we have our surprise wedding party. 11.01.2022 Always love an intimate backyard wedding with family present. Congratulations to Ryan & Hien who were married yesterday.

10.01.2022 A weekend of ceremonies. A moving Renewal of Vows for Donna and Richard at Ballarat on their 25th wedding anniversary. It may have rained but we were dry under the rotunda. Then Sunday a wedding for Jasmine and Mathew in Malvern at the aged care residence of Mathew's 100 year old grandmother and 90 year old grandfather. A lovely intimate ceremony with just close family. Congratulations.

10.01.2022 The giving and receiving of rings by couples at their marriage ceremony, gives them visible and tangible symbols of their love and commitment to each other. They are a continual reminder of the promises they make to each other for the rest of their lives. Need help with ideas for your ring exchange? My information pack has many ideas. #weddingringexchangeideas #weddingceremonyideas

10.01.2022 A Milestone Moment coming up with Karyn and Jared's wedding this Easter Monday. So us girls were out having a scrumptious time celebrating at Lady Lavender's Tea Room for High Tea with Karyn Slater, Merryn Blampied, Emily Pither, Wendy Slater, bridal party Skye and Ebony and Karyn's sister Jiaan. So looking forward to the wedding!

09.01.2022 Feeling the cold in Melbourne, but it won't be long before the perfume of flowers fill the air again. So if you're planning on celebrating your milestone moment in Spring and haven't organized your celebrant, how about you give me a call. #springwedding #marriagecelebrantmelbourne #backyardwedding

08.01.2022 The Tim Neville Arboretum at Ferntree Gully provided the lovely venue for Tara & George's wedding last weekend. The rain held off and the sun came out. Congratulations guys. Thank you to Karyn Pither Photography for the great photos. #melbournecelebrant #outdoorweddings #timnevillearboretumweddings #simpleceremonies #karynpitherphotography

08.01.2022 A milestone moment today with my beautifully Granddaughter at her Art Place activity group that I have been going to since she was in utero and I was helping my daughter Merryn with Olivia's older sisters. So that makes nearly 6 years of being part of their growing up. Off to school next year. Will miss this precious time with her. Thanks Deb for your fun filled ideas with the activities.

07.01.2022 Romance was evident among the vines at Fergusson Winery in the Yarra Valley at the wedding of Rob & Candice over the weekend. A sand-pouring ritual has now tangibly preserved them becoming family. #yarravalleyweddings #wineryweddings #sandpouringritual #yarravalleycelebrant #melbournemarriagecelebrant

05.01.2022 Chelsea Beach was the lovely venue for last Friday's wedding for Prince and Tuckky. Always a concern with the weather for beach weddings but it ended up being perfect. Hardly any wind and comfortably overcast. Congratulations guys. #beachweddings #baysideweddings #morningtonpeninsulacelebrant #morningtonpeninsulaweddings

01.01.2022 Now that I have moved to Balnarring Beach, I'm enjoying researching the many wonderful wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula. My first visit was to Remuce at Bittern with the very friendly Remy who has a great location for a casual, no stress venue, well suited to a wedding ceremony and the following celebration of food and drinks all at the one location. #remuceweddings #morningtonpeninsulaweddingvenues #morningtonpeninsulacelebrant #milestonemoments
