02.12.2021 CHRISTMAS ART & CRAFT GALORE Today was Christmas Art & Craft Galore day for our Summer program. Each room planned and implemented a range of Christmas based art activities! By allowing children to explore open ended Christmas themed arts, the children were exploring their individual creativity and exploring their own thought processes. 09.11.2021 SUMMER PROGRAM DAY 1 Miss Kirsty had 5 different cups and candy canes laid out on the table. Without telling the Sunshines, she asked us what we thought the experiment was going to be about. Miss Kirsty poured vinegar, tap water, freezing water, orange juice, and soda water into each cup. We predicted how long we thought it was going to take for each candy cane to dissolve in the different liquids. Once Miss Kirsty had poured the liquids, it was time to add the candy canes to each of the cups. We were amazed to learn that the candy canes all took 2 minutes to start dissolving, while the soda water only took 1 minute 30 seconds to dissolve. The children loved watching and learning more about the whole process....& loved having a cheeky candy cane to eat afterwards too

With building blocks as a part of their toy set, children can learn a range of skills and cognitive capabilities. It can also be a great way to have fun!
