24.01.2022 Along with all Melburnians, we are overjoyed to be moving to Stage 3 of the Victorian Government’s COVID-Normal Plan. Whilst our centre is open for all children, we remain focused on keeping our people safe through enhanced cleaning, visitor declarations, hand sanitiser stations, family drop off zones, no incursions or non-essential visitors, and no excursions. Thank you all for helping to keep our community safe!

21.01.2022 ‘Curious Creatures, wild minds’ was the theme for book week this year. Our Kinders started off book week with reading the story ‘ Grug’. A simple story with a very curious creature named Grug. The children were encouraged to make their own Grug in the art area, expressing their creative dispositions and using the book character of Grug as an example to creating their own version of Grug.

19.01.2022 From the Kindergarten Room: Continuing on with our inquiry based research project on 'mini-beasts', we have set up a mini-beast exploration station for the children to investigate, learn and explore at. Through exploring these resources children have opportunity to build up their knowledge of a variety of Arthropods. An arthropod is an animal with no internal spine (invertebrate), a body made of joined segments, and a hard covering, like a shell. The children are very curious about the little creatures and are engaged in so many learning opportunities through this project. We are still taking places for Kindergarten 2021. 16.01.2022 What a wonderful week Book week was . We loved seeing all the effort families put in for their children to come dressed as a book character. Children took part in reading a variety of stories that had some very curious creatures in them, followed on with some creative art work.

13.01.2022 Our toddlers always enjoy listening to a story, but this time was a little more extra special as one of the toddlers shared his special book with his friends for 'Book Week' in his fantastic book week outfit. 06.01.2022 To highlight children’s week we are celebrating our Kinder children by holding a talent show. Encouraging and celebrating their achievements and special skills all while promoting their confidence. We heard some wonderful jokes like Why did the cow cross the road? To get to the Moo-vies and saw some great dancing, story telling, paper plane making and other special skills the children have developed over their time as a child. The children were proud of their efforts and ...have continued this idea in their play for the afternoon. It was also requested from the children that Caitlyn their Kinder teacher shared her special talent too
