18.01.2022 Our Wallabies friends and Miss Christy have been exploring there senses this week. There sense of touch, smell, feel and taste. Today Miss Christy made the children some marshmallow playdough! It consisted of, Marshmallows, coconut oil, corn flour and some peppermint essence. ... The children absolutely loved playing with this, through the experience the children were able to smell, touch and even eat their marshmallow playdough as they explored their senses. 04.01.2022 Miss Sadia has been exploring the sense of Taste with our Bilbies. The children engaged in fruit tasting sprinkled with a bit of salt as they explored a sweet and salty taste. Some of our Bilbies friends loved the taste and some friends didn't like it all. ... Exploring our sense of taste has many benefits, It encourages children to explore a range of food textures, exploring tastebuds. Infants and children have a higher concentration of taste buds that are receptive to sweet tastes. Scientists believe that this is to make them more receptive to their mother's milk.
