17.01.2022 Our preschoolers have been very busy engaging in a variety of experiences promoting key fine motor skills, language development, numeracy and literacy skills and social skills. Such amazing experiences for the children. Well Done Miss Katie for knowing your children so well and being able to provide an amazing environment for your children.

15.01.2022 What a fabulous day we have had! Our friends danced, explored the spider webs and got to take home a special trick or treat lolly bag for themselves and their siblings!! Thank you team milestones for making this a special day for our children...and to all our families for sharing your children with us!

15.01.2022 Our children engage in a variety of experiences to promote their learning and development across all domains. In Preschool One our children love to get their hands dirty in our garden caring for the plants that they have grown from seeds, and during art and craft experiences with clay and paint experiences available. The children further explore their senses with various opportunities including sensory boxes, small worled set ups and outdoor play. Reading is promoted both in...doors and outdoors, with a reading nook on our balcony with comfy bean bags and spaces for the children to choose to read in throughout the room. Literacy is promoted both in pre-reading and pre-writing experiences and our Auslan lessons with Miss Stacey. Social skills are promoted through opportunities to engage in play, problem solve and work together to plan and implement construction play. Thank you to our Miss Abbie and Miss Stacey for working so hard to plan and implement such fun activities for our children every day.

13.01.2022 Eating in style! Today our children have a yummy menu of fresh fruit including bananas, kiwi fruit, blueberries and apple slices for morning tea...and for lunch we are having beef stir fry with vegetables and brown rice. Our menu also caters for gluten free options, allergies and food preferences.

07.01.2022 Our toddler children enjoy an array of experiences that have been planned and implemented based on them, their needs, abilities and interests. Literacy opportunities are essential in our children’s day with reading nooks inside and out, books that are interesting and space to just be. Extending interests provides opportunities For children to scaffold their knowledge and skills, and include cross-curriculum learning including STEAM and Science opportunities (as seen in the frozen dinosaur egg experience). Self-Help skills are essential however so is the opportunity for the children to help one another, developing crucial relationships between the children. Thank you Miss Brittany for such exciting experiences for the children to engage in.

06.01.2022 Halloween might look different this year, however at Milestones Early Learning we are preparing for our Halloween Disco! Lots of creepy spiders have made their colourful webs throughout the schoolies room and we might just have to dance our way through!
