Friday's Interactive and hands on incursion was a fun and unique opportunity helping children understand hospitalisation and medical care. The morning consisted of interactive mat session, role play with dress ups, puzzles, puppets and even a ride in a wheelchair! We all had a super busy morning filled with learning! #Lifelonglearning #Empoweringchildren

16.01.2022 Hospital incursion for Kindy ages. Friday 28th May 9.30am-11.30am Helping children understand hospitalisation and medical care!... In order to increase children’s knowledge and reduce their anxiety about hospitalisation and medical care, the Hospital Familiarisation Program (HFP) will be visiting Milestones Lynwood. 90 minute session consisting of : 1. Interactive mat talk- the presenter has a wide range of medical equipment to demonstrate on our life sized doll. 2. DVD - called Let’s Play Hospitals which further prepares children by following a young boy who breaks his arm and goes into hospital for treatment. There are young children role-playing at being in hospital too. 3. Role-Play- the children will have plenty of time to dress up in hospital uniforms and use medical equipment on our life sized doll. They can also have a turn on our wheel chair and crutches and play with our hospital play-sets and hospital puzzles and books. Extra/casual bookings available! 11.01.2022 Our regular excursions to Bunnings is always a unique and exciting opportunity that provides meaningful and active participation in the community! The children were excited to choose a variety of items to bring back to the centre. This ranged from a variety of plants and materials they wanted to utilise for art and craft and outdoor play. The children were extremely excited when they returned to the centre to show off there new materials. #Lifelonglearning #Healthycommunities #Empoweringchildren
