24.01.2022 Year 3’s had an amazing time out in the sunshine on our city excursions this week. Students were exploring our Central Idea - Appreciation of the arts can be seen in our surrounding world. Beginning at Carlton Gardens and walking through the city to NGV, students took note of architecture, design features, and public artworks such as sculptures and street art. We have returned with a deeper appreciation for the arts and lots of inspiration for our future learning.

17.01.2022 As part of our inquiry into How the world works, the Year 5 students participated in an excursion to the Melbourne Museum and IMAX Cinema. The students explored the '600 Million Years' and 'Dynamic Earth' exhibits and they left with lots of questions about geological events. The movies 'A Beautiful Planet' and 'Apollo II First Steps' left them fascinated by mankind's desire to explore space. It is going to be an exciting unit of inquiry as we inquire into all the wonderings and questions provoked by today's excursion.

09.01.2022 This term as part of our ‘How we organise ourselves’ unit of inquiry, the Year 5 students have been exploring how money is central to how people live all over the world. On Monday the students took action and held a ‘Maker’s Market’ where they created handmade products and sold them to the school community. After being particularly inspired by Koky Saly from The Beekeeper Parade, students decided that the majority of money raised will be donated to his organization. The students will decide which charity the remaining funds will go to.
