24.01.2022 Weve had a busy afternoon packing your orders and working on some more resources for you. Hands up who would like to see an A4 printable temple to use with our tangram sets like @life.with.moon.and.co has done here?

24.01.2022 Today was the perfect Sunday. Hubby made pancakes for breakfast, we spent the morning playing with the boys in between cleaning and the arvo was spent visiting family. Both boys ate all their dinner and went to bed with no arguments. Feeling grateful to have a healthy and happy family. What are you grateful for today? These babies will be open for pre order tomorrow night 8pm.

24.01.2022 Just a lazy Saturday night in our house take away Thai and a movie. Tell me what’s your favourite take away meal?

23.01.2022 Weve been trying to keep off socials a little the last few days, Ive found with so much COVID19 content floating around I was feeling very anxious. Today we enjoyed a few of the simpler pleasures in life, a walk outside finding some beautiful nature pieces to incorporate in our play (its amazing what some fresh air can do) and tonight the boys had a bubble bath, they pretended they had beards and put bubble hats on each other and laughed so much, it was a great day. What simple pleasures are you making the most of at the moment?

23.01.2022 Todays invitation to play was all about bugs, insects and reptiles. At a time like this Im so grateful for all of the open ended resources that we have to encourage learning through play with my boys. Generally I create the set up and let them explore and lead. We discussed their different shapes, sizes and colours, the noises they make and the way they move.

21.01.2022 We have had a little refresh of our thank you cards and belly band wraps adding a pop of colour. What do you think?

20.01.2022 Ladies tell me I’m not alone. Does anyone else’s husband seem to think the bin is in the sink or on the bench? I mean my 2 and 4 year olds can open the cupboard and put something in the bin, surely it’s not that hard. Pictured our gorgeous story blocks. How amazing is that wood grain. Do you have a storyteller in your house?

20.01.2022 Weve been busy working on some new products that will be ready in the next few months right in time for Christmas. I cant wait to share them with you but in the mean time Ill leave you with this amazing setup by @art_play_love_

20.01.2022 Weve been making the best of a crappy situation by playing games over zoom with family and friends for a bit of fun. Tonight were having a family trivia to celebrate Fathers Day and have ordered @providoor from @lucyliumelbourne . We might be unable to see friends and family in person but theres nothing stopping us from being able to chat over zoom/FaceTime and share a meal and a drink between screens.

19.01.2022 Now more then ever I feel myself appreciating the little things in life. The things that I previously took for granted in our daily life like visiting family and friends, going to a playground or even eating out at a restaurant. Were spending more time at home, quality time with our kids, time that we may otherwise have rushed past in our busy days. When our life goes back to normal (whatever that may be) I will look back and appreciate those slower days. Dont get me wrong some days are harder then others, physically, mentally and emotionally, there are challenges, but we are so lucky to still have our health, to be safe in our home and to live in a country where they are doing their best to support us.

19.01.2022 Silhouette digital template. You guys asked for it so here it is! One for the older kids which can even be enjoyed by adults, its harder then you might think. Available online now, youre welcome!

18.01.2022 Anyone else in Melbourne loosing track of what day it is? Isolation seems to make the days just roll into one another. @these_little_darlings

17.01.2022 Spring is here. Hello butterflies, beautiful blossoms and sunshine spreading happy hormones. Whats your favourite thing about spring? How pretty is this gorgeous butterfly by @life.with.moon.and.co Our printable templates can be used in so many ways, overlay our tangrams, colour them in, cut and past, shape recognition the list goes on. Find them on our website.

17.01.2022 A little CVC practice on our magnacrylic boards.

16.01.2022 Did you see our Story Blocks and Magnacrylic Boards have arrived. It’s been a hectic few weeks with such big delays in shipping caused by Covid and the issues at the docks but they arrived Saturday and we spent Sunday frantically sorting and packing all of your pre orders. Massive shout out to my amazing friend @themasenhelders for dropping everything and helping me I couldn’t have done it without her. Stalk your posties guys, they are on their way. Thanks so much for your patience.

16.01.2022 Today I got up had a shower got dressed into my jeans (not track pants) did my hair and make up and I felt so much better for doing it. Sometimes the way we dress can totally effect our mood. Anyone else feel the same? Side note, how cute is this pic of little Benji @life.with.moon.and.co playing with our tangram set on the new printable template with some added sensory play.

16.01.2022 Rainy days call for wet weather activities while this mumma enjoys a hot cup of tea dreaming of summer. Weve just given the approval for our pool area to be renovated so as soon as this lockdown lifts we can get started. Who else is dreaming of summer days/nights (hopefully spent with friends and family).

14.01.2022 Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.- Maria Montessori @littlebillies_

14.01.2022 Christmas is just around the corner. Our tangram sets and cards make great stocking fillers. Perfect to take away on that summer holiday to entertain the kids. Who’ll be packing theirs?

14.01.2022 Daily Gratitude Boards. We ask our boys each day, what are you thankful for, what did you learn today and whats one kind thing you did today. Some times we lead and open up the discussions other times they lead. Is gratitude a regular discussion in your household? ... @themasenhelders

13.01.2022 C is for Christmas, coffee and chocolate. Three of my favourite things. Can you believe its only 14 weeks until Christmas. Tell me are you super organised with presents for Christmas or are you a last minute kind of person? I started mine a few months ago, I mean what else is there to do in lockdown other then shop right? by @littlebillies_ featuring our alphabet cards and tangram.

13.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day. A day to celebrate our heros, some near, some far, some no longer with us, some soon to be, some want to be. Where ever you are may your day be filled with happiness. Its been a year filled with celebrating from a far in Melbourne with no real end in sight, days like today make it harder but well get through it!

13.01.2022 So I know Ive gained a few ISO kgs but tonight my toddler confirmed it. While sitting at the dinner table he came out with mummy your fat like a wombat I had to explain fat wasnt a nice word and we shouldnt call anyone that so he said mummy your snuggly like a wombat, yes mate thats a much nicer way of describing mummys extra curves. What funny things have your little ones said lately? credit @ohmywildhearts

12.01.2022 Our chief tester trying out our new A4 printable templates. Perfect for the younger kids to start learning tangrams. Endless possibilities, learn the shapes count the pieces, create your own shapes or follow our templates. Tangrams are best for children aged 4-9 but even adults and older kids find it quite relaxing. Im also working on another template that will help challenge the older kids. Do you love tangrams?

12.01.2022 The past week we are definitely feeling the love from our online community. A big thank you to everyone that has purchased, shared or engaged in some way. You are appreciated more then you know. You dont need to purchase from a friend to support them, comment on their posts, tag friends, share them in your story just engage with them to help them be seen. It only takes a couple of minutes but could help them make a sale and just letting them know you are there to support is... huge. We would love you to tag some of your favourite businesses for us to check out and show some love. Well start! @pickwick_and_sprout @for.theloveofletters @nestling_and_nook @theorganisingplatform @the_covercollective @mauveandmay @isla_and_i_fairy_garden @weresttrading @hairbyleesa_

11.01.2022 How beautiful are the different wood grains in our puzzles, no two are the same. I have literally spent the entire day packing 100s of these sets. I sort, collate, pack and belly band every set myself with a whole lots of love. What did you spend your Saturday doing?

11.01.2022 The sun is shining. While today is R U OK day please remember we dont need a dedicated day to check in on family and friends to make sure they are ok. 10.01.2022 Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. Wise words from a little fish for a Monday. My 3 year old came to me with a great idea this arvo to clean the whole lounge room (turned playroom) and make it sparkly, safe to say I jumped at the idea. Hows your Monday been?

10.01.2022 Yesterday we got my eldest (3.5) tested for COVID because hes had a cough for the last few days mostly at night when the cold air comes in but best to be safe and get checked. He really surprised me and took it like a champ. Who else has had their child tested, how did they react to it? So instead of a morning walk while we wait for results we pass the time with this threading activity inspired by @zaras_play_tribe

10.01.2022 Except in our family Poppa is the biggest sucker of them all and can never say no.

05.01.2022 Some muddy farm Oobleck fun this morning inspired by @littletoytribe swipe left for mess. Definitely an outside activity. The boys had so much fun and it really is so simple to create. 50/50 ratio of cornflour and water (you may need to play around and add a little of either for your preferred consistency) and add some cacao/coco for colour. Pair it with some @minizooshop figurines and youve got a great activity to keep your little ones entertained at home. Whos going to try?

04.01.2022 Our new A4 digital download is now available online. The perfect tool to help engage those smaller hands and first time tangram users by overlaying your tangram pieces on the templates.

Yesterday I was that mum that forgot it was pyjama week at childcare we rock up and Mr 3 questions why everyone is in their pjs except them. Sorry mate, mum fail. He later told one of his teachers mum forgot but you can come to my house to see my pyjamas if you like Have you ever been that mum? Tell me Im not the only one that forgets these things.

03.01.2022 A turtle swimming amongst the most beautiful selection of open ended toys by @nestling_and_nook How amazing is the sunshine weve had in Melbourne the last few days!

02.01.2022 Melbourne really turned it on today with this gorgeous sunshine. Spring is coming. We enjoyed a beautiful walk, exploring a little forest near home with fairy homes that were sprinkled with glitter, surrounded by flowers and pine cones. It really was magic and so wonderful to see what our community has created. Im so grateful to live in such a beautiful area. Have you seen our daily gratitude boards.
