17.01.2022 How nice are those days where your kids just get along. When they’re kind to each other and just want to be in each other’s presence. They’re taking turns and sharing. Laughing and cooperating. I live for those days. Those are the days that make the hard days so damn worthwhile
16.01.2022 Oohhhh right in the feels
11.01.2022 L A B O U R A N D D E L I V E R Y Only a handful of people have seen the photos from the birth of my last baby, but I’d like to share this one with you all. I have been blessed with 3 very easy labours and births so when I was asked what labour felt like, this is what I said: It feels surreal! The pain comes from everywhere and nowhere all at once then all of a sudden, it's gone... As if it was never there. It comes in waves, building and intensifying every time. It takes... your breath away, but the deeper you breathe, the more it helps. You feel insurmountable pressure with every contraction. You might think it's painful enough to make you cry. It's not. It's painful enough to make you forget how to cry. But you push through because you know that there's something amazing on the other side of all this pain. All of a sudden, the pressure hits its peak and you feel the urge to push. You push and feel like someone just lit a fire between your legs. It's hot and burns and stings. The waves of pain are back to back and you push with every single one until you feel like you've been torn open, and there's a head and then the shoulders, a torso and legs and tiny feet. Then there's the biggest relief you'll ever feel. It stops. And by it, I mean the world... You see those little features for the first time and you instantly remember how to cry. Tears of absolute disbelief and joy fill your eyes. You don't even feel the pain that follows with the delivery of the placenta or any stitches you may need. The only thing you notice is the tiny human in your arms, created, grown and birthed by you I’d love to hear your labour and delivery experiences if you feel like sharing x
11.01.2022 This about sums me up. And then I wonder why I haven’t actually achieved any of the things I set out to do
08.01.2022 Who would be interested in me baring all so to speak (I promise I’ll be clothed ) and answering all of your questions and telling you all a little more about myself, what I do and why I do it? If it’s something you’d like, I’ll make a date and time!
02.01.2022 Breastfeed until two years and beyond if possible. That’s the WHO recommendation. Pffft... piece of piss thinks me.... We’re at 16 months and I am getting more and more touched out every day. I’m sick of hands down my top at every opportunity, my nipples are either being pushed in like those new popper craze things or being stretched to within an inch of their existence and I’m still leaking through everything As much as I love feeding this little monkey, next time she takes a bite of her scotch finger and decides to wash it down with some breastmilk BEFORE she chews it up, I’m taping this milk bar up and putting up the closed sign
01.01.2022 I hope you all have a wonderful weekend
