16.01.2022 TALE TOWN is open! After weeks of hard work, our reimagining of our little suburb of Inglewood has finally come together. We were able to celebrate with the community as we shared 20 stories from our lives through soft sculpture, diorama and comics. The exhibition is going to run until the 26th of June at the Inglewood Library. Head on down to see the beautiful dioramas and pick up your free copy of the TALE TOWN TIMES newspaper that contains everyone's incredible comics st...ories. Huge thanks go out to all the participants who bravely threw themselves into the project and went above and beyond. Thanks to the City of Stirling for the opportunity to run the project at the Inglewood Library.

16.01.2022 We loved helping out at the Lawley Art Auction with their recent drop off day. Artists were teamed with students from Mount Lawley Senior High School and were given 45 minutes to transform a stack of Crust Pizza boxes into delightful sculptures. Of course, ridiculous hilarity and some gorgeous creations ensured. We were quite fond of our team’s creation, ‘Toppings on Top’!... Thanks for letting us be a part of the good times! We can't wait for next year. (song - Rainbows by Scott Buckley)

15.01.2022 WOW!! We are so impressed with the concentration and persistence from these advanced art (oil painting) students!! We had a great time making our own brush rests too

12.01.2022 Thanks so much to everyone who came down to Milktooth today for our Home Time: Behind the Scenes event. We pulled out everything from the archives, sketchbooks, notes, scraps. Every watercolour illustration, study, storyboard, maquette and painting was on display to let people explore and get a better understanding of what goes on when making a comic. Of much interest, were the first three versions of the first chapter that were scrapped, as well as three fully storyboarded ...chapters that were cut from the book, including a complete alternate ending! We had a great time and it was a lovely way to wrap up the year.

09.01.2022 Look at these delightful cookies that Kristy Diffey baked, inspired by our Ponyo corse that we ran this term. Make sure to check out some of their other wonderful, baked creations on Instagram.

08.01.2022 It goes without saying that it was a remarkable and hectic year. Amongst all the chaos, we relocated Milktooth from the little corner store in Bayswater that we were based at for 5 years, to our current location at the historic Plaistowe Chocolate Factory in East Perth. We want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this grand adventure. It's a huge privilege to share to be able to create a creative space like Milktooth. It is the kind of learning space that w...e had wished was available to us when we were growing up. Where creativity is valued, where each child is truly seen, where their worth recognised and where they are able to learn at their own speed. 2021 is going to be filled with lots of new, exciting endeavors that we're looking forward to sharing with you in the coming months. . . . . . . #milktootharts #elizabethmarruffo #milktooth #perthartclass #kidspaintingclass #kidsart #perthkids #perthismorethanok #loveperth #perthartist #perthphotographer #artschool #kidsartschool #kidsartclass #perth #campbellwhyte #comics

06.01.2022 So this was an extremely delightful 6th birthday party at Milktooth - a new take on the dreamboats with a sail added this time.

05.01.2022 TALE TOWN: Inglewood is full steam ahead, with our wonderful group working hard on turning their local stories into comics! It’s a surprising, challenging and delightful process. One of our great joys is to see people who’ve never made a comic before, discover the magic of the medium. Of course, this all leads to us reflecting on our own works, and why we make them.... Thanks to the City of Stirling for the opportunity to run the project at the Inglewood Library.

03.01.2022 Our second workshop for TALE TOWN was all about PLACE! Where is your story set? What does it look like? What does it FEEL like? How do you remember it? We spent the evening together, sculpting strange, beautiful, awkward and hilarious memory shapes of Inglewood. Thanks to the City of Stirling for the opportunity to run this project at the Inglewood Library.
