25.01.2022 I've been struggling with how to show my support on here for the Black Lives Matter movement and the countless people around the world who are fighting for equality and respect. This of course includes our beautiful Indigenous people in Australia. This is the social media account for my toy store and so I don't often post politically here (even though I personally hold strong political views, especially on racism, feminism, gay rights, and climate change), but this is such a ...major moment in history and it's too important to not say anything. So I'm lending my voice to some absolutely beautiful small businesses selling a range of kids' toys, picture books, clothing, and art. These businesses are all Indigenous-owned and/or operated, and/or ethically support and promote Indigenous communities in Australia. Raise them up! 25.01.2022 Sliding into Monday, with one hand still clutching onto the weekend! Love this pic @wander.my.darling - you always capture both the beauty and the fun of a Wobbel Board . Hope you've all had a happy and productive weekend. Apart from a lovely friend's bday celebration on Friday night and some family time, this weekend was all about stock storage for me. I spent a few "fun" hours out buying storage tubs yesterday, and several more hours today unpacking stock boxes and fillin...g up the storage. Quite satisfying once all done, but I wasn't feeling particularly joyful halfway through the day with 12 massive boxes half-emptied around me and no less than 15 new storage tubs only partially filled and labelled. I'd say this is the least glamorous side of the store for me. And now I'm done for another few days until my next big order is due to arrive See more

17.01.2022 Every time Grapat brings out something new I get the warm and fuzzies Their closeknit team is just so consistently creative, original, and thoughtful in how they put together their collections. This Friday at 12pm noon AEST (Sydney time) at Milk Tooth I'll be having my combined Grapat restock and release of the new 2021 items. Come join! . My fave of the new pieces is the Together set - it's diverse in so many ways and I love its name and the meaning behind it, especially... considering everything we've all been through over the last year and a bit. I have a sweet spot for the Little Things - they look like gumnut babies to me and are the perfect secretive little friends. Three sets of new Mandalas are joining the party and I have a feeling those icy blue snowflakes are going to float out the door. And then who can forget the sweetest little set of Baby Palos (Sticks), joining the line up alongside their grown up pals. 17.01.2022 I've been inundated with a mass of Grimm's and Grapat wooden toys the last couple of weeks! No complaints from me! Milk Tooth has had restocks galore and while some items sold out immediately, I do still have a nice range of both brands available right now. I wish the glut of toys looked more like this simply magical scene over at @my_darling_chaos but alas instead it's lots and lots of cardboard boxes and stacks and stacks of pretty colours

17.01.2022 What a beautiful, soft, and calming room by @xo.ivy.o Most of our Spinkie Baby canopy colours are pinks - soooo many different shades of pink in fact that I sometimes have customers sending me pillow slips or scraps of fabric so I can help them choose the best pink for their colourscheme. This gorgeous grey though is the perfect timeless neutral. I've just restocked some of my Spinkie canopies, and more are in transit to me right now (available to pre-order). I also have a few blues to list on the website that are here with me now and are simply lovely
14.01.2022 Oh how I love to see a playroom filled with colour and lots of special wooden toys! Just beautiful @howards_tribe We spent a chunk of our weekend finally getting some playroom shelves up ourselves. All wall-mounted, so it was an effort! No pipes were punctured, no bodies electrocuted, no plaster pulled off the wall... Success! Now to sort the toys and arrange them

03.01.2022 The Kip and Co x Bábbarra collection is now up on Milk Tooth and oh my goodness, it is stunning. So stunning in fact that this is what I did this morning - dressed our own bed in it (and the kids' beds will be done tomorrow) www.milktooth.com.au/collections/kip-co . This is the most beautiful collaboration between my beloved Kip and Co and the Bábbarra Women’s Centre, based in Maningrida, Arnhem Land. I love that the Centre is governed by women, for women, to enable future enterprises that support healthy and sustainable livelihoods. The collection has been two years in the making and respectfully showcases Bábbarra artists' contemporary art and tells the ancestral stories of Arnhem Land countries and cultures. I'm so excited to have my home bejewelled with all of these beautiful artworks
03.01.2022 My first Bauspiel order arrived last week and oh my goodness, was it a goodie! I'd never touched and held Bauspiel before and it was so lovely to have a little play with some of the pieces while I was packing orders. The timber is beautiful with amazing woodgrain and I'm so impressed with the workmanship - you can just tell how much work has gone into each piece, with timber pegs used to hold blocks together where there are joins or jewelled windows to be secured. The Lucite ...Cubes are incredible - like little treasures that my 4yo was particularly enamoured with and kept trying to steal and stack. And the opportunities for play are endless. The shapes and blocks are so original and work together in such interesting ways - this structure here for example has the large Grid blocks, along with X-Shapes, square Windows with beautiful jewelled see-through panes, and those oh so pretty Lucite Blocks. I can't wait to see the Window Shapes and Colour Streets as they arrive here in late Sept and late Oct.
