16.01.2022 I have 8 Passionfruit/Tangerine Marigold Bushes (Tagetes lemmonii) for sale if anyone is interested please text 0437890302 to make an appointment. My garden is in Maslin Beach I have 2 $20 plants and 3 $15 plants left. This Autumn and Winter flowering, evergreen shrub has a stunning display of bright yellow, gold flowers which flower profusely all over the bush but the best feature of this unusual plant is the aroma of it's leaves. When you brush past it or even when watering... it in summer the sweet, passionfruit aroma lingers in the air. Bees, birds and butterflies love them and they flower from Autumn until mid to late Spring. In ultimate growing conditions it can grow to 1.5m high and 3m wide. Maintenance and water needs are low and prefers well drained soil. Prune back heavily during late spring (after flowering) to stimulate growth and flowering. This plant was originally called Mount Lemmon Marigold, named after John G. Lemmon (1832-1908) who first collected this plant for cultivation in 1882 from the Huachuca Mountains in Cochise County in Arizona.This plant has many names including Lemmon Marigold, Copper Canyon Daisy, Mountain Marigold, Perennial Marigold, Bush Marigold, Mexican Bush Marigold and Shrub Marigold. I may not have anymore of this species of milkweed for sale this season these plants are in their second season, they are perennials and d...ie back to stick at the beginning of winter but pop back up again in spring each year. These plants can not be bought anywhere else and are priced from $70 each and up. They will love the warm, wet summer we are supposed to have this season. They grow 1m H x 1W and love half sun / half shade. They grow dense clusters of vanilla-scented, white flower heads approx. 10cm in diameter that put on a show from mid summer into autumn. Will thrive in a sunny, damp garden with a bit of shade. it has 10cm long slender seed pods. I also have a couple of Gomphocarpus physocarpus (Balloon Milkweed) and a couple of Gomphocarpus cancellatus (Cape Milkweed) and plenty of Gomphocarpus fruiticosa (Swan Milkweed) plus lots of bee and butterfly nectar plants including many types of salvias and statice. 04.01.2022 We have 2 advanced Cochliasanthus caracalla (Snail Creeper). These plants have an amazingly strong aroma (similar to Honeysuckle but stronger) and a beautiful snail like tri-colour flower which covers the plant. These 2 plants have been dug out from an old vine so will grow very quickly. We will have a few smaller ones in a months time. These evergreen plants are fast growing and heat loving.
