25.01.2022 Congratulations to Hubert Pareroultja on winning the 2020 Wynne Prize, with his painting 'Tjoritja (West MacDonnell Ranges, NT)'. 'My family believe giant cat...erpillars called the Yeperenye became Tjoritja (West MacDonnell Ranges in the distant past). The giant caterpillars entered through gaps in the ranges. In this painting the trees are a symbol for caterpillars coming through to the Country, and they travelled from Mount Zeil past Mparntwe (Alice Springs) to Emily Gap.' - Hubert Pareroultja See the work on display with all of the finalists in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prize exhibition, opening 26 September. 19.01.2022 MILLHOUSE ART GALLERY SPRING 2020 EXHIBITION The Millhouse Spring 2020 Art Exhibition is now on at the Millhouse Art Gallery in Milton in accordance with the NSW Government COVID-19 Safety Plan - Museums and Galleries. The Gallery is open 10 am to 4 pm on weekends and daily during NSW school holidays.... Over 120 artworks - framed, unframed, large and small - are on display. This exhibition also features a display of miniatures. All artworks are available for sale. Children's books written and illustrated by artist Catherine Murphy and greeting cards - hand-painted originals and prints - are also available for sale. Looking for a special gift? The Gallery also has Gift Cards available for purchase.

13.01.2022 2020 Coastal Creative Appeal - Civic Centre Ulladulla (Downstairs Auditorium) Saturday, 3 Oct - Sunday, 4 Oct 2020 The Millhouse Art Society is pleased to be part of the Coastal Creative Appeal being held this weekend. A collection of creative individuals and groups have donated artworks and crafts to the cause.... The purpose of the exhibition is to raise funds to assist our community post bushfires, COVID 19, etc. Pop in, say "Hello" and help support this very worthwhile fund-raiser.

12.01.2022 Millhouse Raffle Winner - Sue Morrison of Port Stephens. A big thank you to all those who supported the Millhouse Raffle. Funds raised from the raffle are being donated to the local Rural Fire Service.

11.01.2022 If you are travelling Bowral way in a couple of weeks, you should drop in and support a couple of our Millhouse artists exhibiting at The Milk Factory Gallery at 33 Station St, Bowral. The exhibition is from 15-27th October and there will be 'Meet the Artists' and 'demos' on the two Saturdays.

Monday, 28 Dec 2020 to Friday, 1 Jan 2021 - 9.30 am to 4 pm Saturday, 2 January 2021 - 9.30 am to 3 pm Visitors to the area, as well as locals, always look forward to this ever-popular event. It is an exciting display of traditional and contemporary, framed and unframed artworks in all media by local artists - all for sale. Also on sale will be: Pots decorated by Tonia Thomson Glasswork by Mechelina Flynn Children's books which have been written and illustrated by Catherine Murphy Greeting cards created by Millhouse artists. This year's raffle prize is "Mad Houses", painted by talented artist, Tonia Thomson. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to a local charity chosen by the Millhouse Art Society. Take some time during the festive season to relax, wander through the exhibition and have a chat with the artists on duty.

07.01.2022 JUST ANNOUNCED: Congratulations to Vincent Namatjira on winning this year’s #ArchibaldPrize with his portrait of Adam Goodes, 'Stand strong for who you are'! ...‘We share some similar stories and experiences of disconnection from culture, language and Country, and the constant pressures of being an Aboriginal man in this country. When I was younger and growing up in the foster system in Perth, Indigenous footballers were like heroes to me. Goodesy is much more than a great footballer though, he took a strong stand against racism and said, enough is enough. The Millhouse Art Society will be holding its Easter 2021 Art Exhibition at the Ulladulla Civic Centre, 81B Princes Highway, Ulladulla (opposite Ulladulla Harbour). The exhibition will feature original artworks by local artists in all types of media, as well as glassworks by Mechelina Flynn and children's books written and illustrated by Catherine Murphy. Gift Certificates and hand-made cards will also be available. The raffle prize for this exhibition is "Pockets" - Looking Towards the Lighthouse, painted by talented local artist, Yvonne Reilly. The Society donates all proceeds from raffles to local charities. In the meantime, if you would like to view more paintings, call in to the Millhouse Art Gallery in the Courtyard Studios in Milton and view the Autumn 2021 Art Exhibition.

06.01.2022 WINNER The Millhouse Raffle Prize, a beautiful seascape painted by talented artist Vivian Orrell, was drawn on Monday, 31 August 2020. Following the changeover from the Winter Exhibition to the Spring Exhibition, the winning ticket was drawn by Gallery Manager, Yvonne Reilly.... Congratulations to the very excited winner, Sue Morrison of Port Stephens, who knows exactly where the painting will hang and is very keen to claim her prize. The winning ticket was Orange ticket D071.

Jenni, with Orange ticket D98, was the very happy winner of the Christmas-New Year 2020-21 Exhibition Raffle Prize - "Mad Houses", donated by talented artist, Tonia Tomson. The raffle was drawn at the close of the exhibition by local artists, Catherine Murphy and Wilma Southan.... The Millhouse Art Society donates all proceeds from exhibition raffles to local charities and would like to thank locals and visitors for their ongoing support.
