25.01.2022 To all of our clients, fans, family and friends: I have delayed and resisted writing this message for days, weeks, months. To commit these words to "paper" seems too final. Too absolute. Too hard. However, I did not want to miss the opportunity to express my gratitude and sadness. It is with sadness that I announce that Milliepod baby carriers will shortly close. My husband and I have owned and run Milliepod for four years now, and in that time we have seen massive changes in... the baby wearing industry. And indeed in our own situation too. I have had the opportunity in that time to work with some beautiful families, to help them snuggle their babies, toddlers and big kids in close. To make the world a little less overwhelming, a little easier. I am forever grateful to have had those opportunities- to feel that I have helped in some small way... and to have the chance to pat some truly stunning works of textile art. However, I am finding now that as time has gone on, and as our situation has changed that I am feeling stretched too thin. I am a small business owner, FIFO wife, mother, employee. Something needs to give, and unfortunately we have decided that it must be Milliepod that does. I had hoped to find a buyer for Milliepod, to continue a great brand into the future- to continue to grow a business into which I put so much. To date I have had no luck finding someone to take over (please do contact me if you are interested in taking on this great little business!!), so unless that changes Milliepod will close. I want to say the deepest and most sincere thank you to you all -- your support, both financially in buying carriers from me, and moral with all your kind words, likes and shares has been invaluable to myself and my family. I leave this period of my life uplifted by you all, with friends that I would not have met were it not for Milliepod. I will miss you all -- although I shall still lurk around the Facebook page Soon I will list up some carriers for sale - testers, prototypes and ex-demo models. So keep your eyes peeled for some bargains. Be patient with me though.... these are hard to let go so will likely be the last thing I do. You will likely find the page more active in the next few weeks than it has been in a good long while.... as I am taking the opportunity to frantically sew up some final carriers before my insurance expires. 20.01.2022 I am beyond excited to announce that Milliepod LIVES!! A lovely mum, Ieva, is taking over and continuing this awesome Australian Handmade business. It feels like Milliepod is staying within our little family, with Ieva being friends with the original owners of Milliepod: Liz and Pam. There will, of course, be a bit of a transition period... with bits and bobs needing to be moved from Queensland to Sydney. But if you are interested in getting a Milliepod carrier made, you ca...n certainly message the page, and start laying the groundwork for your own Milliepod carrier! 15.01.2022 A standard sized, full wrap conversion Variance all finished this week and ready to head home. This carrier features height and width adjustable panel, straps with PFAs and comfy leg padding - making it comfortable for both the wearer and wearee. This particular carrier features Milliepod's quitled waistband. ... Made from Ankalia Lollie Nebula wrap fabric.
