21.01.2022 Today is the launch of 16 Days in WA. The annual 16 Days in WA Stop Violence Against Women campaign takes place from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, which is Human Rights Day. Now in its fourth year, 16 Days in WA draws inspiration from the global movement for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence to drive a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their c...hildren. You are invited to create change during the campaign to educate, motivate and advocate in your community, and stand up to stop violence against women. Together we can make a difference. To find out more about 16 Days in WA, how you can be involved or access resources on the movement, please visit: https://www.communities.wa.gov.au/projects/16-days-in-wa/ #16daysinwa #wereallinthistogether

16.01.2022 NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK 2021: In 2021 we are seeing more people speaking up, speaking the truth, asking the hard questions, seeing the hard facts, and informing themselves about issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. More than a word. Reconciliation takes action asks people to take this awareness and knowledge, and use it as a springboard to more substantive, brave action.... For reconciliation to be effective, it must involve truth-telling, and actively address issues of inequality, systemic racism and instances where the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are ignored, denied or reduced. While we see greater support for reconciliation from the Australian people than ever before, we must be more determined than ever if we are to achieve the goals of the movement a just, equitable, reconciled Australia. Repost from Reconciliation Australia. #NRW2021 #MoreThanAWord #HealingFoundation #CommonGround #Reconciliation
15.01.2022 Hey Crew! There has been a a little misunderstanding at the Really, Really, Free Market this morning. There was a black cart brought in and left for a short while and someone has accidentally presumed it was brought in for the Really, Really, Free Market. This is an easy mistake to make but if you do have it could you please return it to Milligan. The owner would be very grateful. Thank you! ... And thanks to all the rad RRFM attendees! Have a beautiful weekend! See more
14.01.2022 REPOST FROM Reconciliation Australia This #SorryDay we acknowledge the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations survivors. We remember the injustice of the forcible removal of children from their families and the ongoing intergenerational trauma for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.... The first National Sorry Day was held on 26 May 1998, one year after the Bringing Them Home report from the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families was released. This report is a tribute to the strength and struggles of many thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people affected by forcible removal. In 2021, as Common Ground Australia report, the rate of First Nations children in out-of-home care is almost 10 times that of other children, and continues to grow. We cannot begin to fix the problems of the present without accepting the truth of our history. Truth-telling and historical acceptance continue to hold an important key in the healing process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as being crucial in ensuring these wrongs of the past are no longer repeated. We must listen, acknowledge, and know the stories of Stolen Generations survivors. Thank you to Healing Foundation for providing a platform to amplify the voices and lived experience of Stolen Generations survivors and their families, and their continued work providing an environment for survivors and their families to speak for themselves, tell their own stories, and be in charge of their own healing. #NRW2021 #MoreThanAWord #HealingFoundation #CommonGround #Reconciliation
12.01.2022 We get plenty of questions about the Really Really Free Market because its so AWESOME! One of the big questions we get is, "Can I just drop off my donations to you?" The Really Really Free Market is designed for you to bring stuff you would like to share (like books, clothes, toys, muffins, fruit, seedlings etc...) and put it on a table. If you have nothing, just bring yourself!... Once you've put your stuff out, you get to walk around and check out all the other cool (FREE) stuff - and if you see something you like you can take it home FOR FREE!! (I did say it was AWESOME right?!?!) Anything you brought with you that hasn't found a new home yet, we would love you to take it home with you again and you can bring it in again next month. Unfortunately we're not equipped to operate as a second hand shop, waste management facility or recycling depot so please take your stuff home at the end of the market. #Milligan #reallyreallyfreemarket #weareallinthistogether #rrfm #weareallinthistogether #bunbury #whatsonbunbury #milligan.

11.01.2022 So.... Do I need to arrive early at the Really Really Free Market? You're welcome any time! People are coming and going all morning, bringing stuff as they arrive. You can come any time you like and stay as long as you wish.... The RRFM is on from 10 am until 12 noon. You're even welcome to stay to pack away after if you like that kind of thing Many people choose to hang out while everyone checks out what they bought to the RRFM. You can browse the other FREE stuff, grab a snack, pick some herbs from the Milligan garden, join in the community jigsaw or sit in the sunshine with a cuppa #Milligan #reallyreallyfreemarket #weareallinthistogether #rrfm #weareallinthistogether #bunbury #whatsonbunbury #milligan.

09.01.2022 The Really Really Free Market is back soon Bunbury!
09.01.2022 Another frequently asked question about the Really Really Free Market is what do I bring? You're always welcome at the Really Really Free Market without bringing a thing! We're happy to see you! The RRFM is perfect for things you produce that you have too much of and for things in your life that you don't need anymore, but are too good to throw out.... Books you've read? Abundance of zucchini? Flowers from your garden? Clothes the kids have grown out of? Puzzles you've finished? Muffins you've made? Bring them along! Everything needs to be in good working order and please bring only what you can carry. The RRFM is designed for you to take home anything that's not scooped up by others. Unfortunately we're not equipped to operate as a second hand shop, waste management facility or recycling depot so please take your stuff home at the end of the market. You can bring it back next month #Milligan #reallyreallyfreemarket #weareallinthistogether #rrfm #weareallinthistogether #bunbury #whatsonbunbury #milligan.

01.01.2022 T O N I G H T See you at The Prince Of Wales Hotel from 6.30pm.
01.01.2022 mmmm.... this is a great question! What about my broken stuff???? Can i bring that to the Really Really Free Market? The Really Really Free Market is primarily designed for you to give away things that are consumable, like food and plants, or things that have plenty of life left in them. The RRFM is for the things that are too good to throw away! Clothing needs to be free of rips and stains. Household goods need to be in good working order.... So, what about the stuff not suitable for the Really Really Free Market? The Stanley Road Waste Facility and Recycle Station is a great option! You're able to recycle clothes with rips and tears, textiles, electronic goods that aren't working, broken furniture, mattresses, building materials, and more. The Trash and Treasure shop also takes a whole raft of stuff to be re-used, from kids bikes to kitchen sinks Watch Your Waste South West has heaps of information about ways to reduce your impact on landfill #Milligan #reallyreallyfreemarket #weareallinthistogether #rrfm #weareallinthistogether #bunbury #whatsonbunbury #milligan.
01.01.2022 I’m glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song, seems like we just got started and then before you know it, the times we had together were gone. Our Shout returns on June 9th from 6.30pm @prince.hotel Bunbury Come alone or bring your whole crew. We’ll see you there! #milligan #weareallinthistogether #ourshoutbunbury #bungeo
