25.01.2022 Due to the weather tomorrow it is looking like the outdoor movie is going to be cancelled! However The Fam is moving a screening to their Garden Bar from 6pm!! It has heating and can be closed in.. They are offering 12" pizzas at the price of 9" (only $15) for the movie and also anyone with a MPW wristband gets 10% off all other food and beverage.. The Fam is kid AND DOG friendly so we can still support this great cause and watch one of the best movies ever!!!

24.01.2022 Make sure you pamper your pooch this year!! We are excited to announce Happy Paws Mobile Dog Grooming Port Pirie will be joining us in the park from 9am to 11am!!! Book your dog in before or after the walk, limited times available so get in quick!

24.01.2022 Merchandise has arrived!!!! Make sure you stop by the merchandise table on the day of the walk where you can find dog bandanas and dog coats as well as caps, jumpers and t shirts for yourself!!! Get in early though as we have very limited stock... we only get what we are sent! .. All $$ goes directly back to the RSPCA!

15.01.2022 Baileys Barkery will be set up at the walk again this year for all your fur babies treats and products!! 100% of sales on the day will be donated to RSPCA ..as if you needed more reason to spoil your pooch!!!

14.01.2022 We are in uncertain times with this virus crisis at the moment and unfortunately it is with a heavy heart that I need to announce RSPCA has cancelled all Million Paws Walk events across the country this year. Please read their post to read about the "walk this May" they are trying to initiate as an alternative. May is a couple months away obviously, and with the uncertainty of the future and our little town just being a small community event, I am still living in hope we ...will be able to arrange something closer to the day ... Thanks for all those willing to participate and contribute, but for now our event is unfortunately cancelled. We will update you on any changes as they progress. Thanks for the support Port Pirie

11.01.2022 Update: Total raised for 2019 is $719.45!! + just over $450 online!! We beat last year, and with less stalls and the weather forecast, I am super proud and beyond grateful!! Bring on 2020!

09.01.2022 Some information and guidelines for tomorrow... CASH ONLY on the day. On the day registrations open at 8am! Find the registration table, merchandise table and Baileys Barkery under the BH Smelters Picnic Shelter.... Remember the weather is forecasting possible rain, please bring weather appropriate clothes and umbrellas for you and your pup, if needed. Food and drink will be nearby the shelter. Bacon and egg rolls available for just $4 or $6 with a drink. Hot dogs also available for the same price. Drinks available for $2 each. Raffles available with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. $2 a ticket or 6 for $10. Water bowls will be available around the park for the dogs. Bins available around the park. Walk starts at 10am at the Merlino gates. 2km walk. Raffles/prizes drawn after the walk. Hotdogs and drinks available after the walk. All dogs must be on a lead Please keep control of your dogs, be aware if there is any agression Please everyone pick up after your dogs, im sure we are all responsible owners St johns will be in attendence, in the rare chance they are needed. There is a secret life of pets movie at The Fam at 6pm.. Have a great day and lets raise some good money for a great cause!!

06.01.2022 ATTN STALL HOLDERS and those looking for a nice day out... This Sunday at our favourite Pet Friendly Venue in town, The Fam Hotel, is the first ever Fam Pirie Trash and Treasure. Partnering up with Lifeline for awareness and donations to this good cause. Check out this event!

06.01.2022 With the rain forecast this year we will be setup under the shelter! Find the registration and merchandise table under the large BH Smelters Picnic Shelter.. Baileys Barkery and food & drink can also be found here! The walk will start and finish at the Merlino Gates at 10am.

Make sure when you register or check out the merchandise tent that you grab yourself some tickets for your chance to win a great 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize!! only $2 a ticket or 6 for $10. All the $$ goes straight to the RSPCA!... Great prizes and vouchers for the 4 AND 2 legged walkers :) If anyone has something or knows any businesses that would like to donate to the cause please feel free to contact me.. 02.01.2022 Thanks to the kind donations of Woolworths Port Pirie we will have bottles of water sitting at the halfway point of the walk... ..if there are any volunteers who would like to sit at this point (shelter and seat) and hand them out to walkers as they pass please contact me!! Thanks
