25.01.2022 As a proud graduate of Como Primary and Como High School, I'm really looking forward to this celebration. I wonder if I'll recognise anyone from the "Class of 75"!
25.01.2022 Connect South The trees have started going in! So looking forward to seeing the project completed. It was also fun in Mends St today, checking out all the Cup Day outfits.
25.01.2022 Good hygiene and information. It's not that difficult, so PLEASE stop panic buying and share! To paraphrase "Ask not what your Supermarket can do for YOU, ask what YOU can do for your Supermarket." ouch!... https://www.facebook.com/486290621414640/posts/2996698373707173/
24.01.2022 Now here's a very interesting web-site! Have you ever wondered what is voted on in parliament and how our elected representative in Swan, actually voted on each matter. Read on ... https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/
23.01.2022 What tangled webs we weave. David Caddys role in this Stoneville development is particularly interesting. Im not sure whats more ludicrous - destruction of bushland in the Perth Hills or 40 storey towers in South Perth? Both! When will Planners listen to their communities?... https://www.facebook.com/143117425728966/posts/3340290266011650/ See more
22.01.2022 There was a real buzz last night, with lots of people enjoying the space. Looking good!
21.01.2022 PUBLIC NOTICE 6 JANUARY 2020 A local government extraordinary election will be held on Friday 28 February 2020 in the City of South Perth to fill the following vacancy: Moresby Ward - 1 Councillor Term to expire: 16 October 2021... NOMINATIONS OPEN on Wednesday, 15 January 2020 and close at 4pm on Wednesday, 22 January 2020. Residents and Ratepayers of Moresby - here's your chance to elect a competent and hardworking Councillor. One who knows Moresby and its relationship with the rest of the City. Your Councillor needs the commitment, interest and ability to understand the whole City as they will be voting on issues impacting all of South Perth. They need to show up to all meetings, as they can't vote and represent you if they're not there! TALK to the candidates, ask questions and vote wisely!
20.01.2022 Is this an aspect of "design excellence" we should expect at Civic Heart? Perhaps trees in tubs dont really cut it. This clip also helps me to practise my Italian! Win/win. https://www.facebook.com/163571453661989/posts/2814353755250399/
19.01.2022 For all bike owners!

17.01.2022 Old Mill Open House This looks like a fabulous South Perth community event, to be held in a beautiful and historic location. The spring flowers at Millers Pool are also blooming. See you there! https://www.facebook.com/384945431617596/posts/2289810921131028/
16.01.2022 Tonights Nine News Perth coverage of South Perth Streats in case anyone missed it.

16.01.2022 This is 4 years of change. Today is your last chance to vote for the Councillors who will represent you for the next 4 years. If you haven't voted yet, take your ballot papers to the Civic Centre before 6 pm. Every vote counts, thank you.

09.01.2022 In the interests of South Perth residents electing a new Councillor for Moresby, I encourage you to attend this "Meet and Greet". Even if you don't live in Moresby, I am sure you know people who do! And irrespective of Ward representation, all Councillors must vote on all City of South Perth decisions. https://m.facebook.com/story.php
08.01.2022 Sending my heartfelt thanks to the 923 people in the Mill Point Ward, who voted for me in this election. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough for me to be elected, but thanks to you all for the conversations, friendship and support.
08.01.2022 Australia Day 2020 in the City of South Perth. Mine started with an early morning walk to the flagpole, as our beautiful river slowly filling up with boats. This was followed by a Citizenship ceremony for 205 new Australians, the presentation of Colin Cala's prestigious award as Freeman of the City and a yummy Rotary Club of Como breakfast. Later, I watched the aerobatic display and then a huge Australian flag signalled the fireworks were about to begin. Thank you to everyone, especially the volunteers, who made this a special day for so many of us. How fortunate are we!
06.01.2022 After the approval of 38 storeys at the corner of Lyall St and Labouchere Rd on Monday, this next one is on Wednesday at 9.30 am. Once again, there'll be Deputations from Residents and Developers, to get you thinking! If you care about highrise in the City of South Perth or even R-codes changing near you with the ACP or LPS, you should be here, observing how these decisions are made!
06.01.2022 Community fun, along with a nostalgic celebration for many! It's looking like a great Saturday afternoon.
04.01.2022 Open Home at the Old Mill last Saturday evening. Picnic on the grass and then a live performance by "Satan Browne" - owner of the "Alta Pleasure Garden"! The Old Mill how you may never have imagined it in 1870s Perth!
03.01.2022 Carols by Candlelight on the South Perth foreshore. How fortunate are we, just beautiful!
03.01.2022 Please vote if you haven't already done so. Our Council needs knowledgeable and commited Councillors who are ready to listen to you and who value collaborative decision making. I would really appreciate your vote. Thanks!

01.01.2022 History in the Making The Civic Heart site - called in by Minister Saffioti to allow the building of a 39 storey tower and a 22 storey tower on this small triangle of land, encircled by major roads/freeway entrances and exits. The State Government Architect said the design was not of the standard expected for this site, JDAP refused to approve it, but Minister Saffioti makes her own decisions ...
