05.01.2022 .. Not so obvious is it? To this family the subtle change you may have spotted means more to this family than I could have EVER imagined.... Through Better Rehab - Western Australia and NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme we were able to provide a simple ramp in the paving for James. James is a 29-year-old avid football player that sometimes finds it a little challenging to access the garden without tripping over the sliding door frame The small change in levels now mean it is much safer and easier to walk in and out of the doors. I have spent a few mornings with the family, drinking tea and eating some delicious treats! James's mum explained that the work we had carried out had given her comfort in knowing that James can begin to live a more independent life at home and the risk of injuring himself will be reduced. I was very humbled in knowing that we had made such a huge difference to the family. The ramps are just a very small part of works that we will carrying out for the family. We will be remodelling the bathroom, removing shower hobs and creating much more spaced to move around. We are also installing new external steps and handrails down to the lower garden so James can spend more time in outside and doing some much-loved gardening.
