20.01.2022 This is how my weekends roll, I say to my hubby... we just have a couple of pieces to collect, it won’t take long.

20.01.2022 What a week it was! I didn’t leave my bed! Struck down with the flu Emily Munachen kept everything going at the shop, cleaning, prepping, selling, even taking my kids to school and bringing me breakfast ... Tomorrow I am back on board and will be smashing out our custom orders, come in and see what we have in store and don’t forget to order your custom piece for Christmas .

18.01.2022 Just for a giggle! Today I was in the shop, as always, I was on my own. As I have done many times before I was using my nail gun to secure the back to a piece, with one hand holding the gun and the other holding the piece I pulled the trigger, and nailed my finger to the piece!!! ... Once the expletives had stopped, i thought to myself is that bone I can feel scraping on the staple? I found myself in a bit of a dilemma, I had become one with my piece and my phone was on the other side of the room It seemed I had 3 choices 1: move myself and the piece to my phone and call for help. 2: Woman up, and pull my finger away from the piece. 3: Die here attached to my piece forever more Hmmmm what to do? I decided to go with the 1st option but alas the piece and my finger did not agree with the move. So pulling my finger away and off the staple was my only option, as death by nail gun was not on my to do list today. I told myself I would count to three and pull my finger away in one swift motion... easy right? I am extremely proud to say I only counted to three 7 times before I worked up the courage to release my now throbbing finger, with a quick pull I was released and the blood started to pour, so as any self respecting 49 year old woman would do, I got a cloth, applied pressure, and... called my Mum! Thankfully the bleeding stopped,the pain subsided and now my finger is simply bruised and swollen with what looks like a snake bite on it. I am Woman,hear me roar

18.01.2022 CUSTOM ORDERS Hi everyone, just a quick note to say for all who have ordered custom pieces please be patient with me as I am currently working alone things are taking a little longer, I have a list to work through and will have your item complete as soon as possible The good news is I have a lovely young lady trialling the position we have available next week, and I have a super good feeling that it will work out great!... I will keep you updated

18.01.2022 Feeling loved! Thanks for all of the enquires as to when the shop is reopened, the answer is Monday! I return to Hedland Friday night, and will be painting up a storm all weekend. Unfortunately the new floors in shop have not yet been laid and will not be done before Monday but we won’t let that stop us ... The truck is already on its way to deliver the new pieces .... can’t wait to see you all.

I love providing beautiful one off furniture pieces for people, but today I finally got to collect not one but two of my dream pieces! Thank you so much Kaye Ferris and Chris Ferris for holding on to these until I could afford them... I just adore them.... Of course I can see them painted but hubby wants to leave as is .. what does everyone think,paint or don’t paint?

As I have always said I love colour! And the gypsy boho look gives me the ability to use lots and lots of colour! I am looking forward to bringing you lots more of this style

03.01.2022 Emily and I were disappointed today when we couldn’t buy a full sized Christmas tree in town to do our shop window display. But then we asked ourselves, what is it that we do? We revamp and re-purpose! So with an old camera stand, chicken wire and other craft items we had in the shop we created our own Christmas tree, and here she is!

01.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a quick note to say I need to remain in Perth a little longer than expected, as most of you already know I am a breast cancer survivor, I came to Perth for a few standard check ups and unfortunately I am now required to stay a while longer, so MILLSTYLE will be closed until the 10th of September. On the up side I will have longer to shop for amazing pieces down here to have in store on my return.... now that’s exciting!! I can’t wait to get back to Hedland a...nd paint up a storm, I will have a re-opening event on my return stay tuned My apologies for this small closure and thank you for your on going support

01.01.2022 Custom order complete .. Three unique chairs that have come up beautifully, I love it when a customer comes in and asks for Colour it has been so much fun to be able to do these!

01.01.2022 Today I got to the shop at 8am, I went in to complete some custom pieces, by the end of the day the shop looked like this, not bad considering I wasn’t even open Off to Perth tomorrow, suffice to say I will be purchasing some more furniture! Millstyle will be closed this week reopening next Monday
