24.01.2022 Hi, regarding the Sculptures that I do, Ive been asked a lot lately, if Ive done anything Iconic! So, I thought these two could be a good place to start. Cheers Millsy

24.01.2022 POA. 500mm long x 180mm deep x 160mm high. https://millsyscustomcreations.com.au/ These are Sculptures of people surfing. The idea is to create someones fantasy or memory of a favourite surf trip, for example, a 50th Birthday Present. You have yourself and best mates all surfing your favourite spot, maybe someone You dont like going over the falls or getting run over. Your only limited by your imagination. All the materials are non perishable, so it will last a lifetime. You could put it on the mantel piece or have your mantel built around and part of the Sculpture, even put your TV on it. They are available to buy, so let me know if your interested in one of these or you have a memory or a fantasy you wish to create. Cheers Millsy

23.01.2022 My mate Bretto was very nice to us at WINDANSEA recently, he donated the Awesome Singe Fin Beer, we all enjoyed at the Ma n Pa Bendall this year (2019) - very much appreciated, Bretto! So, I made you a Beer Barrel to say "Thanks!" Funny thing happened though, this guy just turned up! All business, like "THE STIG!" Just started riding, havent been able to move him. I dont think hes going home anytime soon! Taste the style and flow of Single Fin Brewing Co. Cheers Millsy

19.01.2022 Cale receives his own custom board today. His own design and colour choice. We told him dont go too crazy for the spray, so in love with what he chose. His only request was too have 2 Kookaburras on his board for his brothers...(yes, we may have had a few tears)! I thank John Mills from the bottom of my heart for the time and effort he has put in to have the board ready within days. Youre a true legend. Thank you and to have the kookaburras on the board, just perfect.

13.01.2022 Recently, I was talking to a mate about Trophies and how they could be better. This idea is based on interactive Kids Trophies for Boardriders Clubs, events etc. This one is an 8 shot sequence, foam ball barrel, bottom turn, layback gouge to claim. It has a complete set of 8 figurines Natural and 8 Goofys - 6 boys and 2 girls in each set. They are detachable and all left base white so you can take them off to paint them. I do it based on what you see from the beach, colour of... rashie, boardies, hair and board. Nail polish is the best thing to use. As a Trophy they can be painted to be the Surfer that wins the Trophy making it a 3D snapshot of the moment. That figurine would be set with 5 minute araldite permanent. If its a sculpture your after this way would allow you to paint the figurine to be whoever you want when ever you want. Even get extra Figurines to swap in and out, you can play with it. This 8 shot sequence is, as much as, I could cram into one sculpture. The 3 Shot sequence is usually enough to tell the story, i.e. Marksy, Showtime. The point is its custom, you can get whatever you want. These sculptures range in price from $150 to something this complicated $400 - $500. I realise those prices are not for everyone. So my next step is looking at cost effective variations. Thanks for your time. Millsy. See more

13.01.2022 Congratulations Sam - well done!

11.01.2022 Millsys Custom Creations This table is a Salvordor Dali inspired mini simmons twin fin coffee table. Its made from the same slabs of mango, also mirror grain. The stringer, nose, tail blocks & fins are also silky oak & red cedar. Its glassed in 6oz cloth & epoxy resin. It has a translucent orange shelf in between the fins to brace them & tiny feet to stop the fins digging into your floor. They are made from fin panels ( very strong ). The front of the table sits on a wave sculpture. Its definitely a one of a kind - original! I really enjoyed making this one. I am asking $1600. It is 1660mm long x 530mm wide x 440mm high. Hand carved by John Mills - Millsys Custom Creations

05.01.2022 Gday, I started surfing on a single fin because thats how many fins surfboards had back then. Ive been shaping since I was 16 and Im now 54. Over the last 38 years the twin fin joined the single fin, then they both got wiped out by the thruster, which is still the preferred choice for most surfers today. During this time theres also been huge developments in bottom contour, rocker, foil, rails, vees, flats, concave and convex, keel vee, dome vee, fluted flyers, bonzer c...oncaves, channels. Its my job to figure out which of these variables go into making the best Custom Surfboards for you. Sound daunting? Its not! In the past Ive had the liberty of making and reinventing all of those variables as many times as I wanted. Its called research and development and I make no apologies. I still enjoy surfing now as much as I did back then, and Im still testing and experimenting with custom surfboards all the time. During my younger years I was a competitive surfer, this allowed me the fortune of surfing the worlds best waves at a professional level. Places like Hawaii, France, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Canary Islands, Japan, New Zealand, Bali and more. If your planning a trip to any of these places there is a good chance I know exactly what type of waves you can expect and the boards you will need. Ive tried every type of board, but my favourite has always been the channel bottom. 01.01.2022 Resin Sculptures https://millsyscustomcreations.com.au/ POA 500mm long x 180mm deep x 160mm high.

01.01.2022 This is a Retro Single Fin based on a Tom Carroll model by (Morning Star Surfboards). Probably what he started surfing on! The thing about a board like this is you can surf the board as well as you can read the wave. The right move in the right place at the right time. Anything less is guaranteed failure. They are the beginning of High performance surfing, responsible for breaking down a lot of boundaries. If youre interested in learning about the true Soul of Surfing, riding a wave in perfect harmony, this kind of board will teach You! Have Fun Rhino! Cheers Millsy
