18.01.2022 Not history related but normally something which is happening in our village annually. We would still love you to visit the museum but you may also enjoy watching the virtual garden ramble. Let’s hope we see you back in the gardens and our village next year.

Or indeed remember the traction engine - McLaren Superheated from Bathurst experimental farm. Photo reportedly taken in the 60's.

13.01.2022 Just goes to show our beautiful village has something for everyone. Thanks for visiting our museum today. We are lucky to have hands on displays and some motorised machinery which we can share with the vision impaired.

09.01.2022 Afternoon tea to honour our long time & Life Member, June James. She has been involved with M&DHS as the 30th member to join in the 1960s . In those early days she served as minutes secretary before life took her and her family to Sydney with the farewell gift of a casserole dish that her daughter still has. On her return to Millthorpe before the turn of the century she once again became actively involved and served as treasurer for 12 years. In recent times she has been a very reliable volunteer in the Jacoba Cottage. June really enjoyed meeting and talking with all the visitors from both Australia and overseas. Thanks goes to Ruth Kingham and Judy Hill for organising this lovely event that recognised and appreciated all that June has given to our museum over many decades.
