16.01.2022 Dear friends - for the next few weeks (and hopefully it won’t be for any longer than April 14th! ) we are TEMPORARILY CLOSING the Cafe and Cooking School at Millys in order to help reduce the risk of COVID-19. This takes effect immediately - so sadly our Cafe won’t be open tomorrow We do however have two VERY exciting announcements which we hope will help turn your frown upside down : 1. We are working closely with our friends across the road - the Ethical Food ...Store - on a range of take home meals and other treats that you can either collect from the Store or have home delivered! So you don’t need to miss out on our yummy cakes, scones, crumpets and more - you can just have them at home! Phew!! We will post details ASAP but in the meantime please feel welcome to contact the Store on 5664 2288 or via email on [email protected] 2. We will shortly launch the brand new KOONWARRA COOKING CLUB which is a collaboration between Millys and the Ethical Food Store! This is a 100% online Club where we will share all kinds of meal and food ideas, recipes, tips and tricks! It’s a great way to stay connected and to learn about cooking from the basics up to the more advanced levels - so please stay tuned for more news on this one! We have to confess to being a teeny bit excited about it ourselves Also - please know that takeaway food and coffee is available 7 days a week across the road at the Ethical Food Store So - that’s it for now. 09.01.2022 If any of you have had a piece of our summer fruit slice last week, it might interest you to know that the plums actually came from one of our lovely regulars Stephen, in Pound Creek, who has excess fruit this year. He was telling us that he has a lot more fruit this year because a hawk has made a nest in his apple tree. The hawk is now keeping away all the other birds that would normally steal his delicious juicy plums - got to say our tummies are loving that hawk and the community spirit! THANK YOU STEPHEN

09.01.2022 WOW! We are BEYOND INSPIRED!! So grateful to have been able to visit Hannah’s House in Spreyton, Tasmania earlier today to see all the hard work from Rita Lynd and The Hannah Foundation to create the most beautiful canine sanctuary! Wonderful also to meet Ronnie, the Foundation’s incredible live-in carer, and Banjo the very first resident of Hannah’s House! Banjo has had a very stressful time, so seeing him so happy and loved was the best feeling ever!! To all of you in our Millys Family who have helped us in our fund raising efforts for The Hannah Foundation over the past 8 or so years we say THANK YOU!
