24.01.2022 Kaluha puppies 3 weeks old

24.01.2022 Came across this the other day and thought I’d share.... This is something everyone should see. When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image ...in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet. When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in. But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint. You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one. Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once. A bit of back-story: This is a baby puppy who had a knock to his elbow and wasn't using it properly, so he was taken to the vet. There is nothing wrong in these x-rays, thankfully it is a soft tissue injury and he is expected to be fine.

13.01.2022 The hand of a breeder ... The hand of a breeder is the hand that calms the dog during childbirth ... It is the hand that caresses her belly to calm her during c...ontractions ... A breeder's hand is the hand that makes the path free to let the pups be born easier ... It is the hand that does not tremble and is under the blood to help a puppy in trouble. A breeder's hand is the hand that breaks the puppies' bag if it is not broken after birth ... It is the hand that helps rub and clean the puppies and help their breathing. A breeder's hand is the one that tries to revive a puppy, but sometimes he has to give up when there is no heartbeat. The hand of a breeder is the hand that cut the umbilical cord when the mother does not ... In addition, the hand of the breeder is the one that weighs the puppy every day to see if everything goes well. A breeder's hand is the hand that puts a puppy away closer to the mother while the mother looks at you full of confidence ... The hand that rubs the chest, so that breast milk is activated ... A breeder's hand is the one that rubs on his eyes and fights fatigue and sleeps after days without falling asleep. It is the hand that gives milk bottles day and night when there is very little yield. A breeder's hand is the one that brings the lost puppy back to the mother, the one who plays with the puppy to socialize, the one who teaches the puppy to switch to solid nutrition. The hand of a breeder is the hand that takes care of the little ones when it does not go well with them The hand of a breeder is the hand you have entrusted to your future puppy in the hope that it will go well. The hand of a breeder is the hand that is ready day and night to answer all your questions if you have any questions about anything. For all these and many other things, the next time you shake a breeder's hand, think of everything that hand has done with love., The text is not mine, but it is so beautiful that I had to share it .. 05.01.2022 I love this..... For all of my TRUE breeder friends. This one is for you!!! A Breeder (with a capital is one who thirsts for knowledge and never really knows... it all, one who wrestles with decisions of conscience, convenience, and commitment. A Breeder is one who sacrifices personal interests, finances, time, friendships, fancy furniture, and deep pile carpeting! She gives up the dreams of a long, luxurious cruise in favor of turning that all important Show into this years "vacation". A Breeder goes without sleep (but never without coffee!) in hours spent planning a breeding or watching anxiously over the birth process, and afterwards, over every little sneeze, wiggle or cry. A Breeder skips dinner parties because that litter is due or the babies have to be fed at eight. She disregards birth fluids and puts mouth to mouth to save a gasping newborn, literally blowing life into a tiny, helpless creature that may be the culmination of a lifetime of dreams. A Breeders lap is a marvelous place where generations of proud and noble champions once snoozed. A Breeders hands are strong and firm and often soiled, but ever so gentle and sensitive to the thrusts of a puppy’s wet nose. A Breeders back and knees are usually arthritic from stooping, bending, and sitting in the birthing box, but are strong enough to enable the breeder to Show the next choice pup to a Championship. A Breeders shoulders are stooped and often heaped with abuse from competitors, but they’re wide enough to support the weight of a thousand defeats and frustrations. A Breeders arms are always able to wield a mop, support an armful of puppies, or lend a helping hand to a newcomer. A Breeders ears are wondrous things, sometimes red (from being talked about) or strangely shaped (from being pressed against a phone receiver), often deaf to criticism, yet always fine-tuned to the whimper of a sick puppy. A Breeders eyes are blurred from pedigree research and sometimes blind to her own dog’s faults, but they are ever so keen to the competitions faults and are always searching for the perfect specimen. A Breeders brain is foggy on faces, but it can recall pedigrees faster than an IBM computer. It’s so full of knowledge that sometimes it blows a fuse: it catalogues thousands of good bonings, fine ears, and perfect heads...and buries in the soul the failures and the ones that didn’t turn out. A Breeders heart is often broken, but it beats strongly with hope everlasting... and it’s always in the right place! Oh, yes, there are breeders, and then, there are BREEDERS!! Author Unknown

05.01.2022 If I Didn't Have A Dog If I didn't have a dog I could walk around the back yard barefoot without worry. My house could be carpeted instead of tiled. My clothing, furniture and other belongings would be free of hair. When the doorbell rings, my home wouldn't sound like a kennel. I could sit on the couch or lie in my bed the way I want to, without taking into consideration how much space she needs to be comfortable. I would not have strange presents under the Christmas tr...ee like bones, stuffed animals, toys and treats...nor would I have to explain why I wrap them. I would have no guilt about going on vacation. I would not be on a first name basis with three veterinarians, as I put their kids through college. The most used words in my vocabulary would not be sit, stay, down, come, go pee pee. My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates and barriers. My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats, and an extra leash. My house wouldn't look like a daycare center with toys strewn everywhere. I would not have to spell out the words, BALL, Treat, bye-bye, walk. If I didn't have a dog .... how truly empty my life would be. ~ Author Unknown See more
