02.02.2022 ~ Rachel here ~ https://www.rafflelink.com.au/olympic-mustang-2hal I don’t like to come onto the page with posts of doom and gloom but the harsh reality I abso...lutely have today, it’s critical that I am 100% honest about our situation. We had a crisis committee meeting on Wednesday about the lack of sales with our latest Olympic Float Raffle. To be honest we are exhausted trying to coming up with ideas on how to get these tickets sold. We have 6,493 tickets remaining, that’s a lot of tickets to sell with just over a month to go. The small team are gutted, we delivered a prize that many supporters asked for, its an amazing prize that can be sold on. We can only rescue if we know we have funds, we can only rehabilitate as well as the financial limitations allow us to and we only responsibly re-home and that takes time. In that time we have still have to feed and vet our horses. This week alone we have had to refuse to assist horses in need because of our financial position - this absolutely deepens the wound for the entire team. We cannot rescue any more horses at the moment as the funds from the ticket sales are a big part of keeping the charity afloat. This is a dire situation for the charity, and the horses.
