24.01.2022 Another piece completed; this time a pair of enamel and sterling silver earrings. Again I have used the black crackle base - the colour on top is vermilion. Judith is not keen but I really like them.

19.01.2022 Have just finished the matching pendant for the vermilion earrings and am happy with the result. It may seem that I am pumping out piece after piece but all of these have been in the pipeline for several weeks!

15.01.2022 Have finally completed an enamel that I am happy with. A lot of trial and error is going on in my workshop! This one is a cloisonné pendant with jade bead drop on a commercial chain. It was inspired by some large green fronds seen in a cafe in Timor Leste last year.

11.01.2022 So our current crisis has enabled me to be in the workshop more and this in turn has given me more time to experiment. I have been playing with crackle base (black), layering a colour on top and firing. The results are unpredictable and various, but sometimes quite dramatic. This one is a copper dome pendant with a hand-made chain. The colour is called sea foam green!

06.01.2022 Just a reminder about the Mandurang Valley Artisan’s Trail coming up this Saturday and Sunday. Should be a fantastic way to fill in a lazy Saturday or Sunday. I will be at Pam and Wes Vine’s Mandurang Valley Winery from ten to five each day. https://www.facebook.com/MandurangValleyArtisansTrail/

02.01.2022 Just completed another pendant- this one utilising the base taille technique (google it if you need to). The drop includes a green agate bead, the chain a commercially produced snake chain.
