25.01.2022 As our towns continue to recover from the Currowan fire of the summer and the CoVid 19 restrictions begin to ease; now is the time to begin focussing on your health. How can you do this? 1. Get moving- gyms, pools and playgrounds are opening so you and your family can exercise and move your bodies! 2. Eat fresh food and lots of fruit and vegetables. The local markets are back on and you can buy great local, organic produce. 3. Get to your GP for a check up- annual bloods, blo...od pressure check, cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening, bowel cancer screening, childhood and influenza vaccinations. From today, let's begin to get our community healthier and stronger both mentally and physically!

10.01.2022 Tomorrow Milton Medical Centre begins our "One foot forward" walk to raise awareness for Mental Health Month during October. All staff are walking or running as far as we can to support the Black Dog Institute. You can make a donation or join the walk for mental health month by clicking on the link below. Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. Taking up exercise seems to reduce the risk of developing mental illness. It also seems to help in treating some mental health conditions, like depression and anxiety. For these reasons our team are putting one foot forward and walking to help improve the mental health of ourselves and our community!
