25.01.2022 Stomping the grapes

24.01.2022 Started pruning the grapevines today. Beautiful day for it! also nearly time to start pruning the roses, will leave these for another couple of weeks-still plenty of roses on them.

23.01.2022 Went to BAKKA furnishings at Armadale last weekend. We share the launch of their summer furnishings and our new wines. Great to catch up with clients. Had a lovely dinner of Peking Duck then up early next morning and off to "Fringe" restaurant St Kilda for breakfast. Looks average but great food and ambiance. Followed breakky with a walk along esplanade market then back to BAKKA to start at 12 noon. Relaxing weekend!!

20.01.2022 Our wine is back at Perfect Drop, Daylesford. We had a great following there, unfortunately the owner decided in 2010 to only have local wines on her list. Great to have it back there. Perfect Drop is a must place to visit. Food is exceptional and ambiance the same. Well worth a try!

18.01.2022 Vines getting heat stressed-be glad to get grapes off, though they are not ready to pick yet. Looking at early March vintage!

17.01.2022 Off to take wine to new outlet in Malmsbury. Will let you know what its like. Lunch with friends tomorrow then dinner at Malmsbury- great life.

16.01.2022 Bottled our new Scs (Shiraz, Cab Sauv. 2012. Beautiful wine wine, up to standard of 2008 only obviously does not have the age. On special at $25.00 till end December 2013. You buy it cheaper and do the aging. Great buy!

14.01.2022 Hot weather finally starting to stress vines. Having to water each night for an hour or so. Fruit and vines are benefiting from the extra care/water. So far looks to be a good vintage. Lets hope it continues.

13.01.2022 Hi all, here is a great opportunity for people from/ near and /or visiting Heathcote to help raise much needed funds and provide support for cancer sufferers. Where and How - Saturday 29 November the Wilson's of 188 High Street Heathcote will open their beautiful Garden and offer afternoon tea commencing 11am through to end of day!! $5.00 donation entry and $5.00 afternoon tea. Heathcote people are great at supporting great causes and the "Relay For Life- Mad Hatters Tea Part...y" is a MUST visit.If you are a winery you may like to join us in donating some wine for the auction or maybe visitors might like to slip a bit of extra change into the entry box!! Karen and Glenn Wilson are located almost directly opposite Heathcote Winery and The Willow Room.

12.01.2022 Finally get to release Puddlers Gully Shiraz, Reserve Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Official releases this Saturday, Heathcote On Show weekend (Queens Birthday). Winery tours 11am and 2pm, also delightfully tasty mixed platters only $8.00/each. Try one with a small glass of wine. Wine X glass only $5.00

12.01.2022 Gray went outside a few minutes ago, saw Buster chase kangaroo into dam. Kangaroo caught Buster and held him under water. Gray managed to get close enough to beat roo away and retrieve Buster-too close a call for the boy! Came out shaking (both Buster and Gray)!!

07.01.2022 Finished picking Shiraz Sunday. Great lot of great friends hopped in to help. We had a busy but fun day and looks like the wine will be something special. Cab Sauv coming in early next week. Tasted the grapes Wednesday-explosion in my mouth-yum!

04.01.2022 HI all, last message I spoke about the new restaurant in Heathcote. Had lunch there today with Gray, lovely food, not too much but enough for lunch. They open soon for dinner. Expect to get Liquor Licence next week at latest. Will be back to try dinner-should be good as they set high standard. Presentation and flavour wonderful. Good to see a new quality restaurant in Heathcote (Vic). Cheers Jo

03.01.2022 We (Milvine) received best gift ever day before yesterday. A "Photo Book" of our 2012 vintage. Magnificent photo's that tell the story of our full vintage and friends involved. Cannot beat that as a gift! From great friends Bin and Glenn at Mood Wines. A huge thanks again.. Memories that will pass down to Grandson etc...

01.01.2022 Vintage is here at last, it's been a difficult year. Fires, birds, frost damage and amazing heat. Not good. Yield is well down (like most we vineyards in Heathcote). Flavour wonderful, so will be special wine!! Thanks to all who our wonderful helpers worked so hard yesterday.
