A lovely day was had by all staff -a pizza lunch, staff wore their crowns for the day and were given a bag of goodies and a badge to show their pride in being part of the nursing profession. Many of the nurses answered questions about why they became a nurse, what they are passionate about , changes they have seen throughout their careers and highlights of their career.

20.01.2022 #VaccinesWork Two key reasons to get vaccinated are to protect ourselves and to protect those around us. Not everyone can be vaccinated including infants who are too young to be vaccinated, older people who are at risk of serious diseases and those who are seriously ill. They depend on others getting vaccinated to ensure they are also protected through vaccines. For information about vaccines, be sure to consult trusted and credible sources, like your local GP.

07.01.2022 The Granite Stone We stand before the Granite Stone, And remember those who did not come home, As the sun cracks open the dark grey sky, We stand in silence and wonder why.... The muzzle on the boot and the slouch hat bowed, The soldier stands in silence proud, Of all of those who went before, To fight for our freedom in conflict And war. From Paschendale, Ypres, and the shores of Gallipoli, To Tobruk, Kokoda, and the beaches of Normandy, They fought for our freedom, Our liberty and life, In sand and mud, through hardship and strife. As the sun rises up and kisses the sky, The gathering weep and openly cry, As the last post sounds in the clear morning light, Showing the names of those who for their country did fight. As the sun lights up the Granite Stone, The names emblazoned, never alone, As reveille sounds in the cold and wet, We remember them LEST WE FORGET
