24.01.2022 Best sight in the world coming down to see this little one with hay in her mouth! She was very poorly this morning so got the vet out to check her over. She had a belly FULL of sand and probably worms too so poor chook was drenched and wormed. Took bloods too and that was really positive with no infection or anything really nasty beyond neglect. Handful of barley grass seeds also pulled from her gums and hopefully this means this sweetheart is going to be much more comfortable eating. Just look at those ears! Massive thanks to Murray Veterinary Services for coming out to us within an hour of calling!

06.01.2022 Meet Poppy and Elizabeth. (MrJ picked their names! I didn't even know he knew an Elizabeth!) Poor Eliz, fondly referred to as Eeyore, is very skinny and will be getting lots of TLC. We estimate she is about 2yrs. Poppy is between 6 and 12mths and just weaned from mum 2 days ago. I went to look at a few other options and just couldn't go past these too. They had been beaten up and run off the feed and water by the older horses so needed somewhere to go so were given to me to take. We are working with Feed Your Steed and Thompson and Redwood for re-feeding and diet management for these two so hopefully we see a good improvement soon!
