20.01.2022 If you think carbs are bad for you because it makes you fat... Let me just let you know your wrong. Carbs- helps brain function, energy levels, and wait for it.. helps weight loss now I know there's a lot of conflicting info out there but this has been actually studied. Carbs are good for you. Only if a dietitian/nutritionist tells you to cut the carbs is when it's a vaild reason to cut carbs. You can reduce the amount you eat. ... But if you break it down, it is honestly this simple Calories in vs calories out. If I eat 3000 calories of protein and fats no carbs and burn 1000 calories. I'll get get. If I eat 2000 calories of carbs and burn 3000 I'll loose fat. So don't restrict yourself. Eat what you want. In moderation. It is so simple but with this crazy amount of info we have access to suddenly everyone is a dietitian with some new crazy diet. Let me tell you, no one diet fits all, no one is you except you. So fuck that off and eat when your hungry. Don't when your full. Or if you want more specific goals. Talk to an actual Dietitian!
18.01.2022 Happy first birthday to MBP! Wow what a journey. Last year covid hit hard and my previous work wouldn't pay me jobkeeper. Last year a family asked me to train them and so MBP started. I had no expectations, I had no 5 year plan and I just had straight up no idea what I was doing I never expected it to become my only source of income and to be able to support myself in the first year ... Enter @mikethompson5831 who became my business mentor and helped me with his marketing guy. the chaos of figuring out a business plan and the competition and a domain and all that other crazy stuff I never thought of suddenly became a bit more structured. A few months in we added personal training over at @plusfitness247carseldine I worked every day for a year no days off no rest. I worked my ass off to get here. But I was also extremely lucky and fortunate with all those that have come along and helped me grow. Without @andrew.dolan1 there would be no run days Without @fancy_nancy_8 there would be no mediation So many of you gave me your input. So many of you came along and gave at least one thing a go even if it was only once! I am forever grateful to all of you! Here's to a year down. Here's to all of you! Don't worry MBP is only going to get bigger and I'll always take on your advices!
18.01.2022 The talk of ego continued. Ego isn't all bad, without our ego we loose our sense of self. Our ego, when healthy is what drives us and pushes up to getting our goals and dreams achieved. With a healthy ego we can accept that all of us have a good and a bad side. No one is perfect and no one is all great or all bad. What we have come to learn about ego in terms of it being bad is called a "Neurotic ego" This is based mostly on childhood experiences and early adolescence. ... This is your ego protecting you from whatever you personally faced at a young age. When jealousy, control, fear and judgement come into play it is in fact our mind trying to protect us in some way . Learn about your shadow side and find the postive in this. In all things there is a good and a bad, there are ways to overcome the Neurotic Ego. Through self work and even through counciling. Remember, your mind should never stop growing and learning. Don't like how you act? Learn to change this habit. don't use excuses like "this is who I am" that's a load of bullshit. You can change. You just have to be open to it (Never forget this is me talking from a personal level, sharing my opinions and what I've read and studied)
17.01.2022 Funny story about Ben. He came along to bootcamp. I was forewarned- he is flakey and won't commit. Not only did he commit but his sense of humor has uplifted the bootcamps even more as banter reaches a new level. Here are his words Mind body paradise has changed my perspective of exercise for the better. What used to be something I did not look forward to doing ever has now become something I can’t imagine not doing. The trainer Logan is great and has taught me many things not just about personal health and exercise, but also mental health and how to better look after myself. I have found him very approachable and willing to go above and beyond for his team.
16.01.2022 Be happy with who you are now. appreciate what you have! Thinking things like "I'll have enough money when I get a pay rise" Or "Once my holiday in easter comes I'll be able to relax" ... Enjoy what's right in front of you! The people around you. The experiences you are having. The future is not set in stone, in my opinion it's a made up fiction in our own minds. If you can't be happy now, what makes you think your made up future will be any different? You are alive right now! You are striving for a goal. You are chasing a dream. But don't forget to enjoy where you are now! The journey is just as fun and, if not, more rewarding. Manifest what you want by enjoying life as it already is. Positive attracts more positive. It's in all the self help books you'll read so let's start acting on it
16.01.2022 You know what no one really talks about on the gram. Or at least what I haven't seen? We all praise people for weight loss and lots of us out there say "you have good genetics" when people are skinny and "oh I wish I had your problem" when people say they struggle to put weight on. Now I want to dive into this one because I am one of those people. It took me over ten years to put 30kgs on. At some points of my journey I had to eat so much food I felt like I was going to vom...it all day. I love hearing about peoples weight loss journeys but we need to stop saying those things to people trying to put weight on too. Lets also praise those trying to put weight on and celebrate everyone's achievements. Genetics are one factor but most of us out there don't realise that skinny people are struggling too on the other spectrum. Don't judge people praise people

There numerous different styles of cooking one item. Start 2021 off by trying new ingredients trying new veges and new spices! Let your taste buds flare
15.01.2022 This is an interesting one to talk about. I had a huge conversation with my sister's about how much to share, when to share, why should we share etc. I walked away from it with a bigger understanding that there is no right answer. Not really. A few things I read were- ... 1) share to those you trust. 2) only share about things you've properly dealt with to anyone else so it's not a painful situation for you. My sister's and I were in agreement with a lot of things but also in disagreement in some areas also. None of us were wrong in our opinions. For me personally I like to be open and share anything, because it frees me of the shackles of my past and not having anything hidden makes for a more freeing life. It helps me get new perspectives and helps me realise we are all just humans and we all have some form of trauma and some form of mistakes in our past. I love to be open and share all because I acknowledge what I've been through and I share that wisdom with others. I try be open to keep myself honest and to keep myself from being a typical man trying to hide all my pains and struggles. But, that doesn't mean it's the right thing for you. Some people judge me for my mistakes, some look at me differently because of my childhood traumas, I can live with that. In my opinion, we are too busy trying to figure out the right thing overall with these issues when it's as simple as doing what feels right for you at the time. Share or don't share with certain people, find what regulates you and keeps you happy. Every one of us is an individual and no two people are the same. We are all just trying to find our path and find what's right for us personally. So bottom line is: Do what your instincts and your inner voice suggests. Be more open, or be selective with your openness. Some people may judge you, but not everyone will. Some people might not understand and might not be able to help or to listen. But others can. Do what's right for you. But don't close off from everyone. Have at least 1 person. A friend, a family member, or a professional. It doesn't matter what they are. It just matters we have someone
14.01.2022 Here's something I believe strongly in but still struggle to do. I personally wasn't raised to be confrontational. I sure as hell saw a lot of it, but Its not me. I'm not saying go out and pick fights with people over your opinions or anything like that, but I do believe a good amount of us out there struggle to be confrontational for our own peace of mind.... For example, someone is pushing your boundaries or your challenging your views on the world. It's okay to turn around and say "what is the problem here? This is me, this is how I am, you don't need to attack me or make me break my boundaries" There are good ways to be confrontational by explaining your point of view and telling someone to respect it. However telling someone they are wrong and going on the attack just brings you to their level too. They also have their own opinions, values and boundaries. We are allowed ours and they, theirs. Stay calm and assertive, and don't compromise yourself to hold the peace. I sure struggle with this, you only had to ask me 3 times and I'd cave in doing something I don't want to etc. But I am getting better at it, and I've come to realise that it's okay to turn around and say don't pressure me, don't insult me. Be strong, be independent, be yourself. Only those true friends, family, lovers out there will accept you and your boundaries. But they also need to know what they are so tell em
14.01.2022 We all know the holiday seasons for times to rejoice and celebrate. To enjoy quality time with family and friends around us. This post is more for those of you who don't have that, especially this year with covid19 locking us away from our families. ... It is an extremely happy time for most of us but it's also a very high pressure time for those who don't have that support circle. We all post #areyouokay on the day only but let's face it, these important dates is where things hit home the most. Christmas being alone, or holidays with nothing to do can be very hard on your mental health. Spending time with family you don't actually like is another pressure we shouldn't put ourselves through. Just because your related doesn't make them family, if they aren't right for you or your mental health then they are not family. Your family are the ones who support you and encourage you I encourage those in this situation to find hobbies you enjoy and to reach out to people you normally wouldn't. I equally encourage all of you with family and friends to reach out to those that might not have what you have. Sucide rates are high in the holiday season for a reason

08.01.2022 Thanks Peta! Love being in your corner going for your goals "where do I start? I first started training with Logan at the beginning of 2021. My intentions were never about weight loss or increase in fitness but to gain confidence in myself and find a healthier way to blow off steam after work. Since starting training with Logan, I have discovered that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Although I often tell him I hate his workouts, secretly I do enjoy them (ex...cept death by pushups, no one likes that). I have found that actually look forward to my weekly PT sessions and can't wait to get into boxing as well. Thank you for being a great PT and a pretty alright bloke too. You have a lovely community of children, I mean clients, that appreciate all the effort you put into not only our fitness journeys but our entire wellbeing." See more
03.01.2022 From Ash about his fitness journey with me During Covid, I wanted to get into shape again so i signed up to my local gym. I started receiving training from Logan, mid last year and i’ve noticed a massive improvement in my strength and fitness. I loved his workouts because they were well suited for my needs. One of my main goals from the beginning was to increase my strength and to boost my self-confidence and it has been successfully achieved. I love the sessions because Logan always makes them entertaining by telling me his stories or even what he’s been up to on the weekend. I definitely would recommend Logan to anyone looking for training, he is by far one of the greatest in the industry.

03.01.2022 Continuing on from my previous talk about the importance of stretching and a local physio I would recommend... Another great thing to do is get a remedial massage- this is perfect for those times the foam roller is too painful but your not injured and don't need a physio. A half way point. For that mobility and flexibility yoga is a great addition to fitness. ... @massageandyogabydiane offers both these over her side of town, I have tagged her insta if you want to check it out. As always, I have personally tested this out so my advice is always based off what I have experienced. Her massages are great and leave you feeling very relaxed!
