18.01.2022 My name is Michele Sears and I am a Therapist with a holistic and integrative approach offering the following Complementary Therapies; Strategic Psychotherapy, Clinical Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psych-K, Evidence Based Emotional Freedom Technique (EBEFT Tapping) and currently studying the Spinal Flow Technique with Dr Carli Axford (soon to be completed). I have a background in Nursing and I have spent the past 4 years working in Chronic Disease throughout... the Murrumbidgee (based in Narrandera, Leeton + surrounding towns) and continue to do so. My passion is to support people in regaining their personal power and make positive changes in their lives. I help my clients easily and effectively let go of past hurts, disappointments and the limiting beliefs they may hold about themselves or life in general as well as how to effectively process stress. I then support them to build resilience and new skills that align with the life they would like to create for themselves. I help them find the resources within themselves that they may not have known they had, build new skills, set goals and plan the necessary steps for achieving those goals. It is then up to the individual to take action because actions = outcomes!! For appointments please contact me on 0400 599 359 See more

15.01.2022 # ARE YOU IN CONTROL OF YOUR MIND OR IS YOUR MIND IN CONTROL OF YOU & WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW? Let’s start by acknowledging the power of our thoughts because what we choose to spend our time and energy thinking about tends to magnify, grow and gain momentum in our mind and can have a domino effect on our physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Have you ever lay awake at night spinning the wheels of your mind over-thinking something until it grew into somethin...g bigger than it needed to be? What we think about affects the way we feel. In other words, our thoughts affect our feelings and emotions by creating chemical changes in our brain and our body. Positive thoughts create positive chemical changes and we experience feelings or emotions of happiness, excitement, optimism, hope, joy and inspiration. Negative thoughts create chemical changes which increase stress hormones in the body. We tend to experience these as feelings or emotions of resentment, fear, hate, anger, jealousy, sadness, frustration, overwhelm and stress. When prolonged, this can cause feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, anxiety and depression. Neutral thoughts = balanced chemical and emotional state or business as usual The way we feel affects the way we behave. The way we behave affects our environment, the people in our environment and ultimately our lives. This cycle tends to feed itself and we get more of the same. The thing we don’t often realise is that once we become aware of our thoughts and how they are behaving, we get to CHOOSE whether we listen to them or whether we ignore them. Whether our thoughts are useful or whether they are unhelpful. Once we’ve decided this, we get to take action. If our thoughts are useful, we can decide what plan of action we need to take to resolve the problem and then action the plan because a PLAN + ACTION = CHANGE or OUTCOME. If we decide our thoughts are not helping our state of mind, health or environment we also get to choose to redirect our thoughts to something more useful. Ask yourself a simple question like What would I prefer to be spending my time and energy thinking about? or What will I have for dinner tonight? Try this next time you notice your thoughts are not helpful and be sure to congratulate yourself when you have successfully taken control of your mind!! See more
