22.01.2022 Did you ever view pregnancy and birth as a rite of passage? Rites of passage foster a sense of renewal, since they mark the beginning of a new phase in our lives. They remind us that we are constantly evolving and that life is a transformative journey. On the other hand, they also provide a sense of belonging. One of the main purposes of a rite of passage is to help us make sense of change as individuals but also as a community. Wouldn't it be life changing for women if society viewed pregnancy, birth and motherhood as a rite of passage? How do you think this will impact women's birthing experience and the support she receives during motherhood ? #riteofpassage #pregnancy #birth #motherhood #mindfulbirth #reflection

10.01.2022 As we reflect on becoming more active online this year, we are fortunate to say we do so with gratitude. Whilst we have greatly missed meeting each of you in person, our increased presence online through community conversations, teacher training & shared practice ~ we’ve been fortunate, privileged, to work with and for women regardless of location. This has also allowed us to provide more opportunity for you to choose how you would like to learn, grow & share your journey w...ith us and in turn others. As the year draws to a close & the holiday period opens each of us here at MindfulBirth wish you and your loved ones safe, peaceful & joyful moments; extending these wishes to all. We will be thinking of the expecting mothers meeting their babies, those nurturing babies within and the sharing of cherished moments with your family, friends, neighbours. Shout out to us if your have a little one arriving! We will be popping in a little less frequently until mid January as we spend time with our families to focus on renewing, resting, pausing and sleeping! We thank you for your support in 2020 and look forward to what 2021 will bring and what we will make happen! Take care & happy holidays! Xx Jean, Michelle, Emma, Sam & Lauren

02.01.2022 A really good read not just for anyone experiencing the effects of having endometriosis but for all women. We meet women in our classes, training and workshops that feel lost in their yoga or exercise classes, unsure what to do if they have over active pelvic floor. It is important to seek professional advise, a woman's health physiotherapist can help , practise softening the pelvic floor muscles in your classes and at home .
