23.01.2022 Day 7 Adopt an attitude of gratitude I am forever banging on about this. An attitude of gratitude opens our heart. It helps keep us mindful throughout the day. When we are reminded that every moment is an opportunity to be grateful our mind begins to change and we see things from new perspective. This is helpful for creating mindfulness.

19.01.2022 The last 2020 sunset...I am hearing lots of wishes for bring on a better 2021 and while I am all for making things better we can only do that by learning. So what has 2020 bought in terms of learning for you? Hopefully you have had time to process what has meant much change for everyone. Hopefully you have built some resilience to what I think could well prove to be another year of big change. Hopefully you have found a way to meet the change and do.more than survive each o...f those challenges. May you thrive Now is the time we need mindfulness more than ever. 19.01.2022 I find Mother's Day a difficult one to navigate for a variety of reasons. But every year gets easier. Every year though I write a tribute to Mother's of all kind everywhere. This year I acknowledge all women who are childless by choice or by reasons outside of their control. I see you, I feel you, I am you. I also acknowledge all women who are estranged from their mother, or whose mother is no longer walking this Earth. My heart touches yours. ... We must also acknowledge the 'lost' mother's and the children of absent mothers. Just as importantly I acknowledge the women who care and support children who are not of their womb. The role of mother is wide and varied. Mother's of furkids, feathered babies and even those with scales. Father's who play the role of mother. Older Siblings who care and support younger ones. And anyone who holds mother energy and nurtures others in some way. Thank you to everyone who holds a mother's energy. Your place in this world is needed. I acknowledge you all on this day they call Mother's Day.

13.01.2022 Don't believe everything your mind thinks. Your mind has the job of protector and sometimes it sees things that are not really there. So it makes things up just to protect you - even if its not real. My tip for this - feel into the thought, do some research, meditate and if it doesn't look right, it probably is not right.
12.01.2022 Adulting can be really hard work. But not all adults embrace the true essence of being grown up. About 7 years ago I started to learn about the trueness behind being an adult. yep at the tender age of 39 I only just started learning about it. Now in my mid 40s I am still on that path to embracing what being adult is all about. Still learning new perspectives of responsibility. ... Lately its been about my emotions and a topic known as the sister shadow. I am sure some of you know about it. The one that comes with jealousy, competition, unworthiness, ego and the "I" statement. Maybe you have witnessed it others, maybe you have been on the receiving end, maybe you have acknowledged it in yourself. I am in the process of taking responsibility for my own sister shadow. And feck it is hard. Being an adult means having conversations. Honest ones, mostly with yourself but sometimes with others. Thankfully I have found a safe network to share this with. A place to ssfely and honestly explore it. But its getting time to fly from the nest and use some of what I have learned in the real world. And I am scared. I fear falling back into patterns I don't like. I fear I am self sabotaging myself even as I write this (there is still some powerful conversations I need to have) and I fear I am missing a vital piece to be able to traverse the world as it is presently. I am not sure how I am going to move forward but I do know time does not stop. I do know that I am strong enough to handle what is presented to me. And I do know I have this new found trust in the universe to provide what I need. So with courage and love, with grace and gratitude I move forward. Lets see what magic transpires.
12.01.2022 During lockdown, I took some time to re-evaluate how I was running my business. I found operating from Petrie was taking a toll on my own self-care and when we had to go into lockdown the decision to close and find another way of doing business became so much easier. And now I am feeling so much more relaxed and in flow (for myself). I find I am scheduling more self-care time for myself. Each day I book in 'my time' to slow down. And it looks different everyday. I am ...feeling healthier and happier than I did before. All because I made a decision to put me first. 12.01.2022 Its Dragon Fruit (Pitaya) season. And I am blending them into smoothies with essential greens (and some protein powder). Since we have an abundance of these healthy fruits in our household (we are fortunate enough to have several plants growing on our property), I am researching the benefits of this fabulous fruit and how it relates back to TCM. ... So far I have found it is a Yin fruit (which makes sense because of the night time blooming flower) and it is a cooling food (again yin suggests cool). It is also high in fiber, believed to lower blood sugar, supports gut health (as a prebiotic) and may help boost metabolism. 08.01.2022 Today was my last day at Zen Chi at North Lakes for 2020. It took a lot for me to.close down the Cottage at OPT. The was plenty of tears as I made that decision and believe me when I say I am still holding some issues around failure over it all BUT I knew and even now have had plenty of confirmation that I made the absolutely correct decision. I still get to do my amazing work and use my skills to help people. I still see all my same beautiful client AND have had the privi...lege of working with some incredible other clients. Plus I have this amazing diverse network of other therapist in house whom I can refer. Add on the most awesome boss anyone could think of. Yep I am blessed. I feel appreciated and loved too. Thank you to everyone for 2020. My regular clients from the Cottage and all my new clients from Zen Chi. So much gratitude to everyone who works at Zen Chi too. Love you all.
