25.01.2022 How does stress effect children? I came across this interesting info graphic that outlines the the ways in which different types of stress impacts kids and their development. (And yes there really are good types of stress!) It covers the basics so there is plenty more that could be added, but it is gives a pretty decent overview. - Damien

23.01.2022 The two mistakes I think people make the most are: (1) They stop after Fail; or (2) They skip Learn. - Damien

13.01.2022 You might have heard of the Melbourne academic who recently had a panic attack on live TV earlier this week. He has written a fantastic article about his experiences with anxiety that I think many could relate to. I certainly can. It is worth a read. - Damien http://www.abc.net.au//habib-what-it-feels-like-to/7158270

10.01.2022 "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Nice in theory but getting kids to eat their recommended five serves can be quite a challenge! If you're getting some resistance try making some creative juices and smoothies and see if you get a better response. Just be mindful if you opt for a shop-bought version that, despite the healthy sounding drink name, can actually contain more sugar than a can of regular coke!

01.01.2022 Wise words from a wise lady
01.01.2022 Decluttering not only clears some physical space, but can also help clear your mind. Here's a handy tip for decluttering we came across: Turn all of your clothes hangers backwards in your wardrobe so that all the hangers are hooking forwards. Each time you wear an item of clothing put it back with the hanger facing the normal way. In six months time it'll be clear which clothes you aren't wearing and can donated to a new home. [ It's ok to exclude your summer and winter clothes from the six month clear out, but if any are still facing the wrong way in 12 months you know what to do! :) ]
