25.01.2022 See this sign, follow the path, and you're in the right place for Mindnesting Meditations. Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow night.
24.01.2022 "A book is like a garden carried in the pocket" Chinese Proverb Mindful reading has given me an oasis in the weeks since my Dad passed. Deep reading, slow reading, has been a mindful and purposeful way of losing myself in a novel and finding a space in my grief. Instead of skimming mindlessly through text messages, getting side tracked by social media, websites and other digital forms of print, SLOWING DOWN, SITTING DOWN and FOCUSING on your book can be a nice break from the pinging! So...unplug yourself and read, mindfully.
22.01.2022 Befriend your shadow. Rather than fostering our sense of self as a divided thing - the self we love and the self we constantly criticise - we can practise self-compassion, that attitude of kindness and acceptance towards ourselves as a WHOLE. Try practising self-kindness over self-judgement, Mindfulness over excessive rumination of negative thoughts and common humanity over isolation.
18.01.2022 Sharing gems of wisdom from children's Mindfulness books is a humbling endnote to many of my meditations.

16.01.2022 Last Wednesday's screening of 'May I Be Happy' - a documentary about teaching Mindfulness to children - was a huge success with exhibitor stalls and yummy vegetarian food beforehand and a Q & A Panel (with yours truly) afterwards.
14.01.2022 How totally special is it when someone is so totally mindful of how you are doing - not just now and then but EVERY day, when that someone is always there for you, when that someone makes a point of always checking up on you...and when that someone shows their unconditional love. For me at the moment, that incredibly mindful someone is my daughter Kahani. Feeling grateful to be comforted by her. Thanks for the cuppa and the chance for a meditative sit!
13.01.2022 New year, new themes, new faces...my 2020 meditation circles have officially begun.

10.01.2022 Tonight we journeyed through a loving kindness mediation. There is something so special and humbling about the unique reflection my attendees share each week. I thank you for them.
10.01.2022 Yup, I'm what is officially known as a birder. I bird watch. I do. And I've found that in bird watching, I have to practice patience and how to be still. There is no choice here but to be MINDFUL. But more than this, the activity of bird watching yields moments in my life of wonder - of gifted wonder given to me from the natural world. And, sometimes, in such moments, I get to experience that heightened awareness of the mystery of my own existence. Thank you binoculars!
07.01.2022 I found mindfulness this weekend in the simple act of bringing some nature indoors. Planting some little cacti into pots and thoughtfully placing them around the home brought a sense of connection with nature and a welcome calmness. I have named them ...and now I get to nurture them, talk to them and watch them grow. I will look after them, and they will look after me. It's a WIN WIN! ... # mindfulhouseplants # houseplantsmakemehappy # houseplantsrockmyworld
07.01.2022 Flashback to my Daylesford forest hike with my nieces six months ago...Find a random tree stump in a forest, climb up, assume your favourite Mindfulness pose, close your eyes, inhale unpolluted air, and take some moments out of your day to BREATHE and just BE.
07.01.2022 Tree hugging fan from way back. This is my go-to tree down by the river. Works wonders
