23.01.2022 Here’s a concept I’ve been playing around with for a while now, it’s called ‘Intentional Movement’. Ever wondered how you align the mind and body? One way is through the nervous system. When your mind and body and nervous system are acting as one, you gain the ability to take control of your mental, physical and emotional states. Intentional movement is great for calming the mind, reducing injuries and ‘accidents’, increasing your productivity and generating a sense of wellbeing. Oh...it’s also a pretty unique experience and makes you feel good almost instantly with a bit of practice of course! Check it out...
23.01.2022 What an awesome day! First training sessions happened at ‘The Stable’, with many more to come. Thank you to everyone for their support. I’ll be posting some videos soon around a topic that is very important to me intentional movement. It’s my own mix, which I first used to overcome a chronic and debilitating back condition (I’ve since used it to handle a whole host of life’s ‘challenges’). It incorporates physical movement, energetic awareness and focused attention. I use it in all of my own training, and will be part of all workouts for my clients. 09.01.2022 I’ve had back issues since early high school, when I was told to stay active or I would lose mobility. Studies have shown that strengthening weak areas in your body is much more beneficial than trying to protect the area through minimal use. Obviously your first step should always be to seek medical advice. Beyond that, a specialist. But always in the back of your mind should be the intention to increase awareness of the affected area/s, and increase range of motion. Increasing strength can be a slow, but ultimately rewarding process, and with mind-body exercise, you get the FEEL straight away...
09.01.2022 Would your child, boys or girls, be interested in developing strength and resilience? Some of your children may remember me from Cygnet Primary School when I was teaching Mindfulness. The programs I‘ve developed for my 4:15 slots are a mix of active mindfulness, strength training and positive mindset. Not only will they get fit, they’ll learn to feel good about themselves and what they can do in their bodies. There is very limited availability in these classes, and spots are ...filling, but I’ve opened up two extra days Tuesday and Thursday if anyone is interested. It’s been tricky trying to source fitness gear these last few months, but I’ve got everything I need now to provide exercise programs for all levels. I’m just waiting on you! My job is to get you fit, build your motivation and confidence, help you develop good exercise habits, and show you how to feel good doing it. Seems impossible to change? I’ll show you in 5 minutes that you can, you do and it is.
