People get stressed and feel burdened with commitments and expect that adding to their already busy schedule meeting work dead lines, attending graduations, work Christmas parties and family events will all happen with ease. It's often not the case as people tend to be sleep deprived, financially stretched drinking more alcohol and eatin...g different foods add the challenging relatives into the mix and it's a recipe for disaster. Most people have no strategy to deal with Christmas and come from a place of reacting rather than responding to the World around them. Those with mental health issues like depression may find their symptoms are triggered as family gatherings can trigger old hurts and trauma that is buried in the unconscious mind. My tips. Take an hour out of your busy schedule to plan you Christmas holiday, plan A, Plan B, Plan C. Plan minimal time with difficult family members and know your exit strategy , discuss this strategy with your partner prior to attending and leave before the party gets out of hand. Factor in some quality time with your partner to see that each of you are feeling supported by each other. Factor in some time for your self to with draw and re-charge as doing too much can lead to sensory overload and burn out. 04.01.2022 Meetings are very important and can bring greater team productivity, cohesiveness and to ensure the team are aligned on the same page. Too many people schedule meetings that are not outcomes focused and therefore cost precious time to your business or organisation. The best way to structure your meetings is to pay attention to your beginnings and endings. Set an agenda, ask what each party would like to achieve from the meeting and get everyone to acknowledge out loud what they have achieved from the meeting before walking away.
