24.01.2022 Healthy food choices and regular exercise are without a doubt two of the most important habits we can teach our kids. But, they are not the only healthy habits we should be teaching to ensure we are cultivating a mindset that will lead them to succeed. A few healthy habits we can teach our kids include the habit of self-care, of nurturing relationships, reading daily, contributing to household life, and of kindness & compassion.

22.01.2022 I read a quote recently, I can't recall who it was by, but it totally resonated with me! It said: " , ' . , , , !" ... If you would like some ideas on how you can incorporate these skills into your every day activities and routines, below and join my 6- - . 21.01.2022 "Teach your kids that when they step outside of their comfort zone, they are not striving for perfection; they are just there to have-a-go, make mistakes and learn something new."

20.01.2022 A fact about my FREE 6-Part Video Mini-Course I created this program because I am sick of seeing kids get to secondary school and miss out on opportunities due to their mindset. A mindset which lacks confidence and self-belief. A mindset which lacks resilience and motivation. ... Too many kids walk through those secondary school gates with a FIXED MINDSET which holds them back and prevents them from reaching their true potential. And I am not just talking about academics, it goes far beyond that. A fixed mindset stops these kids from stepping outside of their comfort zone and trying anything new. It stops them from uncoving new opportunities and enjoying their school experience. And while it is possible to flip a fixed mindset in the teenage years, it is FAR more difficult than if a child is set up with a GROWTH MINDSET from the beginning. That is why I am excited to offer my completely FREE training to help more parents like you! Because there are some really simple actions you can take every day with your little people which will make ALL the difference. Children need to feel that they are capable and see their achievements.

15.01.2022 Today is RUOK? Day. Please take the time to check in with your kids today and ask 'are you okay?' When you ask this important question, remember that 'there is always more to say after RUOK?' Mental health does not discriminate and what we see in someone on the outside can be vastly different to what is going on inside. ... Uninterrupted, quality connection time with your child, every single day, is so important in getting them to open up and ensuring that they feel loved, valued and develop a sense of belonging. 12.01.2022 That rare occasion we were all ready early and had enough time to take a quick family portrait before we left the house I immediately have two thoughts when I look at this photo: 1 I wish time would slow down!... 2 I can't wait to see what the next 5 years has in store for us! 11.01.2022 The habits you teach your child from young play a significant role in determining their life path, just as your current habits are determining the road which you are currently on. We must be intentional about cultivating habits that will create the results we want to see both in our own lives and in our children's lives. The best way that you can cultivate good habits for your child is to lead by example.

10.01.2022 I love this because there are ALWAYS going to be falls, stumbles and set backs - no matter who you are or what your goal is. 10.01.2022 Self-confidence is a key indicator of a child's future happiness, health and success. So, what will you do this weekend to let your child know that they are important and that they are valued?

09.01.2022 Michael Jordan. M J did not meet the minimum height requirements on teams as he was growing up, and he was cut from his high school basketball team. He missed shots (including game-winning points), lost games, and failed his way to success. I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. Michael Jo...rdan Today, Michael Jordan is a basketball legend. 05.01.2022 Remember back to school camps, when we were always assigned a buddy for the camp? Someone to keep us on time, on track and push us through the challenges. We didn't know it then, but they were our accountability partners. They popped up a lot through our younger years, and for good reason! But then as we became adults, we were left to fend on our own...... One key trait I've seen in parents who are achiving the results they desire, whether for themselves, or for their kids, is that they have effective accountability systems! Usually this is in the form of a support network of likeminded parents, or in the form of a coach or mentor. Either way, the accountability buddy helps to keep them motivated on their tired days and offers the encouragement needed on the difficult days. Pearson’s Law shows that when you have an accountability partner, you are far more likely to remain committed to your goals and achieve success. Who's someone that keeps you accountable? Whether it is in your parenting approach, or another area of your life, tag them in a comment below! And, if you don't have an accountability partner, jump on inand join our private Facebook group, Raising Successful Minds, and connect with other likeminded parents today #accountabilitypartner #parentingtips #parentinglife #parentinghacks #parentproblems #parentstobe #parentingishard #parentslife #parentingblogger #parentinginfo #parentingstruggles #parentingtruths #consciousparenting #parentinggoals #parentingskills #parentingtip #raisingboys #raisingdaughters #raisinggirls #raisingkids #raisingtinyhumans #raisingmytribe #raisingthefuture #lifechoices #lifechallenges #totallifechanges #mumssupportingmums #mumblog #mummylife #mindtraction

04.01.2022 To have self-confidence isn't about walking into a room thinking that you are better than everyone else, it is about walking into a room and not having to compare yourself to anyone at all. How do you teach your kids self-confidence? How do you teach your kids that it is okay to have a go and not succeed the first time? ... How do you teach your kids not to fear what others might think? It is definitely not an easy concept to teach but one that is so important for our kids' lifelong success.

03.01.2022 Habits are behaviours that are repeated regularly and tend to occur subconsciously. A person's life is created by their habits. Good healthy habits are a vital part of achieving success. For this reason, nurturing effective habits in our kids is essential. ... Keep an eye out for our posts this week all about cultivating habits in your kids!

02.01.2022 When you set a goal, motivation is what gets you started but habit is what keeps you going. This is exactly why it is important to cultivate a mindset of determination, strength and resilience in our kids. It is the strength of mind that allows a person to create a healthy habit and continue that habit in times of adversity. ... Habits are what drive us to success and remind us that we don't quit.

02.01.2022 If you've been thinking 'where's Jess been lately', it's because it has been school holidays here! I'm not going to lie, keeping all the balls in the air at once is sometimes hard and sometimes I drop a couple. The last two weeks, I've been so deep in 'mum-life', that popping up on social just slipped away. But, I'm still here, and I have been working hard on something exciting I have coming for you soon! ... In the meantime, swipe to enjoy a few photos of our adventures! We have spent most of the two weeks away; camping with friends the first week and visiting my Uncle on his farm in the country the second week. I love these types of holidays. No screens (for me or the kids!), spending every day outdoors, stepping outside of our comfort zones, trying new things, practising new skills, engaging in real and deep conversations, sharing life and living in the moment with the ones we love. We are always looking for new places to explore and adventures to have together as a family. Let me know in the comments below where your favourite family holiday destination is AND if you're a camper, where your favourite camping spot is!
